I’m writing to praise WordPress.com support team member Jen H. for her invaluable help with the recent guided transition of my website from WordPress.com to a self-hosted WordPress.org entity. Jen was always courteous and quick to respond to my questions and concerns, and her responses were always informative and helpful. She deserves to be commended for her role in what was to a relative WordPress.org newcomer like me, a daunting prospect, and I can overstate neither my gratitude nor her skill at answering multi-part questions and guiding me toward solutions. She always communicated with me at my level of understanding, and at a pace that allowed me to follow her words without ever feeling overwhelmed by the amount of information I was receiving. She alleviated all my concerns and when possible, simply took care of certain changes herself, revealing her knack for anticipating customer needs that the customer isn’t even aware of yet.

Kris has been hands down AMAZING and a LIFE SAVER. He is kind, patient, attentive and extremely responsive. I’m a first time WordPress user and had some last minute issues with website before taking it live and he has helped TREMENDOUSLY! I’ve been talking with a few of the WordPress staff this week and man has he been a HUGE relief! Even though we were online for 3 hours he maintained professionalism, courtesy, kindness, responsive, and ALWAYS EXTREMELY HELPFUL. I’m not tech savvy AT ALL! WordPress on my own was very confusing. Kris is the epitome of customer service and should be the “example happiness Engineer.” At the very least, Kris should get a raise and train other Engineers how to build a loyal customer base. Everyone has been so good to me at WP–very patient, considerate, attentive. Recently I had a personal crisis, and wanted to cancel the blog I'd purchased the domain/registered–and the guys were really nice about it. Then, almost immediately, I was ready to start over again–got a new blog, and wanted the domain name, etc. Rachel was the Star support person, after that–as I tried the Custom upgrade, and I'm too much of a dweeb to understand CSS. So I cancelled that and she asked if there was something she could do to help. I took her up on the offer, said I just wanted my colored text back–and she told me it was there, so helpful, kind and friendly!
