I left a voicemail with my leaky jacuzzi tub issue.  They called back to let me know that my tub likely called for a specialized repair person, and they recommended me to another company! Turns out they were exactly right - a company certified specialized repair person was needed for my specific type of tub.  I really appreciated the referral - and their honesty!

Fantastic service, great skills in product knowledge, and a truly, truly nice guy!  We had a miserable time trying to find someone to repair our large soaker tub in a basement bath we had remodeled.  The tub was in a difficult location to service, and the jets that were leaking were in the worst spot of course.  HTRS came in when promised, found the problem, did not overcharge by any means, and we now have a fully functioning bath again, after trying many plumbers and Jacuzzi service people who refused to help.  We can't say enough good things about our experience, and recommend this firm highly.

I called Spa Solutions. They were able to work us in the next day. Although I suspected the motor on this 15 year old unit, the technician was able to diagnose a wiring issue and repaired within an hour. I feel sure a less knowledgeable person would have replaced the motor needlessly, especially since that was my expectation. These guys are great.

We have a Pooltek service contract to come out on a weekly service and maintain our pool and jacuzzi tub for $107/week. Since we are new pool owners, upon first service, we asked if the Pooltek could send a technician out to explain everything and field our general pool questions. The technician was very courteous and took the time to explain everything and also bring our pool back to balance. We also had a valve and gasket replaced at the first service. When it came time for Pooltek to close our pool, we had them order us a new cover since our current one was frayed beyond use. The parts are a lot higher than what we expected so I would recommend trying to get the part yourself if you have the time but the service is good and they are prompt.

We bought our house 4 years ago and it had a Jacuzzi tub, which never worked.  We assumed it had a burned out motor and would cost a fortune to fix.   I was referred to Joe of Spa Solutions by another Angie's list spa/hot tub company owner that does not fix Jacuzzis.  Joe came over 2 days after I called him.  When I got home the Jacuzzi was working!?!?!?!?!.  Joe fixed the jammed start button, checked out the system and explained to me how to flush the system several times with the correct cleaning solution.  Bottom line:  48 hours and $96 dollars after calling Joe, we have a fabulous working Jacuzzi tub!!!  (FYI, Joe explained during the call that the minimum charge would be $96).  Joe and the Angies List company owner that referred me to him are two of the good guys!

I love this man!  The air switch on my old Jacuzzi bathtub broke.  There was no access to replace the switch unless you removed the tile on the face of the tub.  I had a wonderful handyman out but he couldn't install the new switch because of the access.  A tile man came out and he said he would need to remove the tile and cut through the dry wall to gain access.  He couldn't guarantee the new tile would match the existing tile.  I then found Joe.  He was able to think outside the box to replace the switch.  He cut a slightly larger hole and then fed the air hose through to the motor..  He installed a larger switch to fit the new hole and applied silicon to make it watertight. I would highly recommend him.  He's a star.

Spa Solutions fixed a problem that other plumbers could not seem to find and he was great. He was on time and the best part is that his price was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend him to others in our area.

Joe of Spa Solutions replaced a defective motor on our Jacuzzi Eura whirlpool bath. He was able to use a very small opening in the surrounding tiled deck to access the existing motor and replace it. I'd earlier contacted another company who had marked which tiles should be removed in order for them to replace the motor. When I had those tiles removed, the other company's representative then said that he could not access the motor and suggested that the Jacuzzi be lifted up and out. I contacted Joe for help. I was amazed that he was able to not only remove the old motor but was able to replace it, given the confined space. He was a godsend. After the motor was replaced, we learned that 3 of the 4 jets were leaking. He replaced them on his second visit. Joe is very good at explaining what needs to be done and why.

I was very happy with their services. It was an excellent experience. They were quick to respond and came back two times to understand exactly what they needed to get the job done. They did a good job.

Initial call 03/31/15. Told service call $125.00. Tech out on 04/01/15 to take pics. "We will let you know early next week if we can fix or if need be, replace." No call. Left multiple messages for call back. Finally call and get secretary who asks Mike (owner) what's going on. Am told more pics need to be taken. Still unsure if part is available for order. Tech will return Friday the 10th @ 1130 to take pics. Tech shows up at 1230, takes pics. Will call Monday am. No call. Tuesday, still no call. Wait until Wednesday 04/15/15 place call to them and am again told Mike is in a meeting, will return call in an hour or so. No call. Over two weeks later, I typed in tub model online and ordered the part for $48.01/free shipping and am waiting for it to arrive. Will be attempting to do it myself.   We are recent transplants to the area. Angie's list is important to us as we move around a lot. We are both prior military. I'm a nurse of 20+ years, lots of walking, lifting, pulling, etc.....Husband is a helicopter pilot. Four tours flying medevac in Iraq. Both of these professions take a toll on the body. Especially the joints and lower back. Some days, 20 minutes in the hot water with the pressure of the jets produces miracles without the use of medication. Maybe my little Jacuzzi tub didn't seem important to M R C Plumbing, but it is really important to us. Shame on ya'll.

It was a very positive experience. My twenty-year-old Jacuzzi bathtub had functioned improperly almost from the start, in that water came from both the shower and tub faucets no matter which was turned on. The shower/tub was only rarely used, which is why I hadn't taken care of the problem sooner. A recent home inspection, however, had also revealed a leak from the Jacuzzi when the water was turned on. After checking Angie's List, I called Spa solutions and set up an appointment with Joe, who arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time. He immediately discovered that the diverter was cracked, resulting in both problems. He replaced the diverter, and cautioned against trying to work it when the water was running.

I have been consulting with Joe for over 10 years whenever I have had a problem with my tub, and he has always been super helpful and reasonable in cost. I highly recommend him.

Joe set up an immediate appointment to diagnose the problem and propose solutions. He came when he said he would . . . right on time. He had to order the major part that was needed and which other companies had told us was no longer available. When he had the part he was again on time. He quickly installed the new part in an extremely tight workspace and also installed an innovative switch that other companies had not even suggested. Other companies had declared that the only solution would be total replacement. Joe, on the other hand, originally told us that he could repair, that a new tub would not be necessary, and that the total bill would be more like $800 than the $8000 that the other companies had mentioned. He was certainly true to his word, charging LESS than his first estimate.

ARLINGTON POOL AND SPA WAS THE ONLY COMPANY I WAS ABLE TO FIND THAT SERVICED THE CAPITOL HILL AREA. THEY CAN SERVICE YOUR POOL AND SPA WITHOUT ANYONE HAVING TO BE THERE, WHICH IS A PLUS FOR ME. THEY CAN USUALLY FIT YOU INTO THEIR SCHEDULE WITHIN A WEEKS TIME. HOWEVER, THEY CAN BE DIFFICULT TO GET A HOLD OF SOMETIMES. THEY DON'T ANSWER THEIR PHONE VERY FREQUENTLY, AND IT CAN SOMETIMES TAKE THEM 2 TO 3 DAYS TO RETURN A MESSAGE. OTHERWISE, I HAVE BEEN VERY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR SERVICE, AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO PERSISTENT FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Joe was extremely responsive to my initial inquiry.  He followed up and was timely with his appointment.  Joe fixed a 15 year old Jacuzzi Whirlpool tub in our master bath.  The on/off button had been broken for years and the we just never bothered to get it fixed.  Joe had the parts, fixed the control, a light and gave the tub the once over to make sure everything was in order.

I do all my pool closing and minor repairs in my 30,000 gallon pool in Bethesda. I hired this company last year to do a complete pool renovation. The project was initially handled professionally. The pool plastering was done by a subcontractor and nobody from pooltek was on site to monitor it. The result was uneven plastering on the pool steps and in the jacuzzi. My heater is not functioning but the copper tubing in the heater was in the heater unit when the job started. This year I wanted to see whether I could repair it myself and found the copper units missing. One of the pooltek employees had asked for these I had politely declined. I will not hire this company or would not recommend for many reasons noted above. Pool repairs/services are not cheap but these can be done by others (not rocket science). So I know the cost structure and when I see the company response to my situation I am not happy. When you are spending thousands of dollars you need some sort of follow up from the company about whether you are happy or not and none of that happened with this company.

I have a 11+ year old Jacuzzi hot tub (z150) purchased from Home Depot and I needed to find a certified Jacuzzi repairman to troubleshoot why my spa was not running correctly - the control panel was flashing intermittently. I researched Angie's list and noticed Spa Solutions specialized in Jacuzzi tubs and they had excellent reviews. I called and spoke with Joe - the owner. Joe was very knowledgeable about Jacuzzi hot tubs and essentially told me over the phone that it sounded like a faulty pressure switch. Within 24hrs, Joe sent Alex, the spa service technician, to my house. Alex was equally knowledgeable and quickly confirmed it was a faulty pressure switch. After replacing the switch and cleaning the hot tub pump, Alex gave me instructions to test to make sure I also didn't have a faulty t-stat as the hot tub water temperature was reading really hot (prior to Alex draining the tub to replace the faulty pressure switch). Once Alex replaced the pressure switch, he left b/c he didn't want to charge me for the hour it would take to fill the hot tub. Unfortunately, when I filled the tub that afternoon, I now noticed a leak. I promptly called Joe back at Spa Solutions in Alexandria (I live in Sterling), and he rearranged his schedule and sent Alex back out the next morning. Alex then drained the tub and replaced a 11 year old gasket that was the cause of the new leak. Alex then waited around to fill the hot tub to ensure there were no additional leaks present. Even though an old gasket was the cause of the leak (it essentially lost its hold when Alex cleaned the pump), Spa Solution DID NOT charge me for the second visit or the new gasket! I was amazed and will always call Spa Solutions for any future repairs. They are highly knowledgeable and honest people who stand behind their work. I would highly recommend Spa Solutions. Mark

We needed to have our bathroom remodeled in a hurry after my husband had surgery. Globe not only did a beautiful job - with their showroom samples we selected everything and they were able to gut our bathroom and get up a working bathtub and shower within 10 days. We live in a house that is over 120 years old and they were able to do the rewiring necessary for the new jacuzzi tub and heated tiles. It was amazing. The quality of the work, professionalism and responsiveness were outstanding. Adem was very good about keeping me informed every step of the way. I would highly recommend.

V&V was the only company in the area who was authorized to perform warranty service on my Sundance Spa. At first Lou Vitulli was very nice and accomodating. Very quickly, however, he because completely unreasonable - he wanted to come to my house whenever his schedule suited him (not me), and started changing his mind about prices, ordering parts, etc. I complained to Sundance about him and their response was "...this company is an independent company, they are not a franchise of Jacuzzi [Jacuzzi owns Sundance], however we can accept customer complaints"! At the end of my experience with V&V, the absolute minimum was done to fulfill the most literal definition of work authorized under the warranty AND my hot tub was unusable because it was no longer safely hooked up to the electrical outlet and no longer on the concrete pad from which it had been moved. I am now searching for a competent spa service company. Lessons learned: 1. Don't buy anything from Sundance. 2. Don't use V & V Spa Service.

Great! Very professional. Arrived when scheduled, diagnosed problem, advised us where to get part online, then returned to install it. Paul knows his stuff. Our hot tub runs quietly again.
