Why it’s in the Showcase: For a long time, GNOME used a set of cumbersome technologies to update the website’s content. As part of their GNOME 3 release, the developers decided to build their website with WordPress and do a full redesign of the whole site. They now have many more people involved in the web team, including the design and marketing people from their community.
