Dr. Green

Welcome to the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Medicine (CUNY Med). The Office of the Dean is responsible for the educational and research operations of the CUNY School of Medicine. A core CUNY Med value is that representation matters, and we successfully diversified the health professional pipeline by strategically removing barriers to entrance into the health professions. In the early years, and today, we benefitted greatly from the pioneering work of Dr. H. Jack Geiger who helped define the importance of the role of the social determinants on health and well-being. Thus, our core mission to educate and train the next generation of physicians and physician assistants who are excellent, diverse, and understand the centrality of behavioral and social determinants on health and well-being has not changed.  Read More.
