Problem with latest update

The latest version of EDD (2.10) breaks the “red dot” plugin update available icon. So for example, after upgrading to EDD 2.10, the little red dot that indicates there is an update available does not go away.

I *think* this has to do with the new Stripe plugin that you added/embedded or whatever. This has happened on two sites where I am running EDD and upgraded to 2.10. Also on those sites, I am running your other plugin, WP Simple Pay Lite.

Just guessing here, the new embedded Stripe plugin or code has a number that conflicts somehow with that of WP Simple Pay Lite. And thus WP thinks there is a newer version, even though no updates are available.

Please help resolve this issue. The red dot is super annoying, indicating a problem, etc. Thank you.

@specialk I’ve done some quick testing, and the behavior you are describing isn’t happening on sites that we are using running the 2.10 version of EDD.

I’ve seen this on another site before, and it cleared itself after the update cache (transient) was refreshed hours later.

We are going to keep looking into this further, but at this time don’t see anything we are doing that would cause that badge to continue to keep showing.

@specialk I’m not stating it’s not, I’m just staging that we are not experiencing a consistent experience. We’re still looking into it to see if it is something we can easily resolve.

I wanted to follow up with you and let you know that we’ve just pushed version 2.10.1 live, which should resolve this. It has in our testing on multiple sites.
