Installation
- Unzip the downloaded zip file.
- Upload the plugin folder into the
wp-content/plugins/directory of your WordPress site. - Activate
YITH WooCommerce Badge Managementfrom Plugins page
YITH WooCommerce Badge Management will add:
- a new submenu called “Badge Management” under “YITH” menu, where you are able to configure all the plugin settings.
- a new menu called “Badges” in WordPress admin menu, where you are able to manage your badges.

Ok - I was very skeptical of this plugin because of the huge number of 1 star reviews.
I read through many of them.
Most complain of no ability to create badges, plugin has no use, yadada. This is not correct at all! Do people even bother to take a look at the help docs?!
Literally, you can find out how to create text badges in the free version right there (and yes, it is intuitive without them as well). You can then set those on specific products via a drop down on product pages. All for free.
Maybe some miss that this plugin adds two menu items - one for the YITH settings and another for badges?
Not sure.
Meets my needs 100%.

Free version is useless - all you get is the ability to hide the default sale badge. Seriously. That's it. And strong nudges to go spend $69/year for this trivial plugin.
Looked at another one of YITH's plugins. Yup. Total cash grab.
Could not uninstall quickly enough.

I started with the free version and liked the "New" product badge so much that I bought the Premium version. I like how much control I have over the design of the badges. Very easy to use.

Firstly; Support at this company is pretty amazing! (hats off to that!)
This plug-in on the other hand is too wonky. The placement editor doesn't work. I have to add custom CSS for every badge I add, just to place it properly on the product. This issue also occurs on every the product gallery, the quick view and the single product page. So one badge = 3 blocks of css. Two badges = 6 blocks... ect.
I currently use this on two site; two different themes and the issue remains.

The free version works perfectly, and does exactly what it says! "Badges" appears in the WordPress menu and I could add a "New" badge like I wanted. Thank you!!!
