Installation
Download and unzip the current version of the vooPlayer plugin.
Transfer the entire ‘vooplayer’ directory to your ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory.
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
Login (if you’re existing user) or register an account (if you’re new).
That’s it! If you’re an existing vooPlayer user, you can login with your username and password otherwise you’ll need to register a free account.
How Do I Use It? Once you create and save your video in vooPlayer application, go to your posts or pages and you’ll see a vooPlayer icon on the WP Editor so you can insert your video codes easily.
I first conacted this company because I couldn't embed videos on my site. To be exact, I was unable to save the code for 3 html errors. Embedding works fine with any other code.
The plugin doesn't work at all so that I had to try the embed code.
They told me I need to use the fallback code.
This also didn't work. Support closed the ticket without a solution.
Someone else helped me to manipulate the code.
However, then I realized that Vooplayer videos ads the Google Analytics tracker to my site. My very reason to move away from YouTube was to get rid of tracking.
Again the support closed the ticket without a solution.
I installed the plugin and it's unable to grab the videos from my account.
Cloudflare blocks the access. I asked for the IP of their bot but didn't get it. Instead, they want my WordPress login.
That doesn't make a ton of sense as it's blocked at the Cloudflare level and the competence of their support or lack thereof doesn't motivate me to share access to my admin.
The reason for my brutal 1* review is that this was the third time I contacted support and the experience was negative each time.
Since 8 months, they did not solve the issue with "error in code" on WordPress when embedding their videos in sidebars, popups - no matter if use "fallback" or not. The difference is "can't post because of 1 html error" and "can't post because of 3 html errors"
It appears their support agents get paid per reply. It typically takes many useless messages forth and back even when you ask a straight and simple question.
Plugin video slow down website, however if I use the iframe from the Vooplayer it load faster. Using this plugin to upload my video on my wordpress website cause 3 sec slow down. Better copy the code snippet direct from the vooplayer website instead of using the vooplayer plugin shortcode.
Plain simply; EXCELLENT! Been an user of this ultimate player and video container hosting platform for over 3 years. And okay ... maybe it's time the plugin gets an update. But from a reliable source I've heard version 4 is soon to be released 😉
So I'm looking for a wordpress plugin to stream mp4 video files and come across this one. In the description it says nothing about needing to sign up with vooplayer. So I install the plugin and can do nothing with it until I sign up with my vooplayer account. Says I can sign up for free. I go to the site and see "try it for $1" Screw off. It might be the best video plugin in the world, but I don't have time for bait-and-switch games.
