Description

AgeVerify provides great looking website age verification for breweries, wineries, distilleries, marijuana dispensaries, bars, smoke shops, ecig, vape shops, tattoo parlors and more. Available and fully configurable for any language.

Simply activate the plugin, go to the AgeVerify settings page, and select your options.

Installation

From the WordPress.org plugin page

  1. Go to the Plugins => Add New page.
  2. Enter ‘AgeVerify’ (without quotes) in the textbox and click the ‘Search Plugins’ button.
  3. In the list of relevant Plugins click the ‘Install’ link for Plugin Options Starter Kit on the right hand side of the page.
  4. Click the ‘Install Now’ button on the popup page.
  5. Click ‘Activate Plugin’ to finish installation.
  6. That’s it!

Uploading in WordPress Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
  2. Navigate to the ‘Upload\’ area
  3. Select age-verify.zip from your computer
  4. Click ‘Install Now’
  5. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

Using FTP

  1. Download age-verify.zip
  2. Extract the ageverify directory to your computer
  3. Upload the ageverify directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  4. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

FAQ

Q: Does your plugin place advertisements on my web page?
A: No! We are excited to announce that with our release of version 3.0 we are able to still keep our Basic plugin free of charge, and we’ve removed the advertising.

Q: Does AgeVerify impact my SEO (Search Engine Optimization) efforts?
A: AgeVerify is built with SEO in mind and we do not negatively impact any of your efforts or the ability of search engine crawlers to find your website. We do this by allowing all of the elements of your website to fully load beneath the AgeVerify overlay.

Q: Is AgeVerify responsive and will it work on a mobile device?
A: Yes! AgeVerify is indeed responsive and looks and works great on all devices.

Q: Can I change the background image?
A: With the Basic version of our plugin we provide a variety of templates to suit every business need. With the Pro version you can indeed upload your own background images.

Q: Can I upload my own logo?
A: With the Basic version of our plugin we display the AgeVerify logo as part of the age verification prompt. With the Pro version you can indeed upload your own logo.

Q: Can I edit the text?
A: Yes! You can now fully edit any of the text and text-size.

Q: How do I add another language?
A: As of version 2.3 you can now fully edit any of the text, meaning it’s configurable for any language.

Q: Can I change the location of the underage redirect?
A: Yes, with the Pro version of our plugin. The Basic version will set the underage redirect to AgeVerify.

Q: Will AgeVerify work on all of my website pages?
A: Yes, by installing the AgeVerify plugin, your website visitors will be greeted with our great looking age verification prompt regardless of their entry page. Once the cookie is set, they will not be unnecessarily re-prompted until their cookie has expired.

Q: Is your service secure?
A: Yes, our service runs entirely over SSL (https) protocol.

Confused how to customize?

Good plugin but a little confused as to how to customize? I putchased on a yearly basis under the impression you could customize as advertised under the customize tab on the basic plugin.

Worth the price of entry!

I have tried a few other age verification programs and a couple actually crashed my site. AgeVerify is easy to use, great customer support, and offers great customization! 100% will always use AgeVerify for our website.

I tried the free version on my site and it works perfectly well, does exactly as it says. I decided to upgrade to the pro version, just to make it more friendly for my customers, so they don't have to keep entering their DOB every time they go on my site. Simple and easy to use and set up.
