Which I think isn’t one of the best possible resources, the page actually then redirects the user effectively to ​https://wordpress.org/support/article/changing-file-permissions/#htaccess-permissions

Why not directly link to the support article instead of the codex?

If rewriting the whole things on codex is the better way to go; please suggest.

On that note can we make the instructions OS inclusive?

the CTRL + a is for Windows/Linux based OS keyboard layouts. Mac os would be Command + a (using command instead of ⌘ for accessibility)
