Website loads only half the content and really slowly

Hey guys! I got a website http://www.sheerss.com and I’m hosting it at bluehost.com

So, the story is like this :
A few days ago, the website went totally blank, no matter what page I open, there is nothing but white background. So I contacted bluehost’s tech supp and they offered a backup recovery. After the backup recovery, the website can be accessed, but only half of the content is loaded. A couple pictures can’t be loaded at all, while the others load really slow. I tried contacting bluehost’s tech supp again and it seems like the only solution they can offer is another backup recovery which I tried and doesn’t do anything.

So I’m not sure what caused this, and what can I do about this. Will really appreciate it if there’s anyone here that can help

Your home page is quite heavy — over 20MB!

It looks like you have some sort of image gallery, but its javascript is broken

Start by disabling W3 Total Cache. See if that fixes anything.

If not, this may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

I does look like none of the images on the site are loading currently on the homepage.

But the paths are valid and the images do load from the URLs.

You’ve probably concatenated/minified some critical JS files needed to load your gallery without errors.

Disable JS minify/combination, and you should see the site load as it should.

Consider either aggressively optimize and compress your images, as 20Mb is simply too much 🙂 Or use a CDN to help with the media files delivery. That should help with the loading speed.

So in W3 Total Cache, you can exclude CSS and JS files from being minified.

Performance > General Settings > Minify > Select manual mode and from Performance > Minify you can select scripts one by one.

Thanks for the help guys! It seems like it’s w3 cache crashing that caused everything. I tried disabling w3 and it works fine. Later I updated the w3cache to the latest version and enabling it back. Now everything works perfectly. Thanks!
