A Sub-pages navigation (table of contents) on your pages and on your sidebar. Widget option is so easy to use, and the shortcode option gives you more control for manipulating your subpages menus.
Basic shortcode usage:
[subpages exceptme=”true” childof=”253″]

Installation
- Download the widget and upload it to your server through
WP Admin -> Plugins -> Add New -> Upload - After the upload is complete activate the plugin.
- Go to Appearance -> Widgets page, drag and drop the widget to your sidebar.
- Fill in the blanks as needed, and done!

Sort order is not working for side menu. Changing the setting has no effect. WP 5.1

Install this, then just put [subpages] where you want them. Couldn't be easier.
