    Hi @bhanusingh

I just tested this on one of my own test sites, updating from version 5.4.2 and it updated to the latest version, 5.5.1.

We would always recommend keeping plugins updated to the latest version, and in particular with WooCommerce, 5.5.1 resolves a critical vulnerability so we would strongly advise on using this version.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.

I think the question was why the latest shown version is not 5.5.1 but 5.4.2.
That was also my thinking when I read about the vulnerability and looked into my current version (5.4.1).

Thought I was on some different release channel, but after updating 2 times I am also on 5.5.1.

This is a known issue with WordPress that is specific to security updates and backporting of security fixes.

For cases where a security update is backported to older versions, the security update will take precedence and show the security backport update first. So, if you were at 5.4.1 then it will show 5.4.2 as the update, because that is the one that has the security fix in it. After that has been updated, then it will show the latest version of the plugin (5.5.1) because that’s the latest version available.

There is a ticket to change this in the WordPress core in progress, and it may be implemented in future versions.

Thanks you, this cleared the confusion regarding the update versions.
