Hi @oldrup,
You make a good point about detailing the differences between the free and premium version. I will add this to the website as soon as possible.
My aim when building the free version is to enable anyone to use Google Fonts on their website in the easiest way possible.
The premium version (Fonts Plugin Pro) is for the 1% of users who require advanced features (local hosting, custom elements, font uploads).
I’m sorry the free version didn’t meet your expectations, I will work to fix that.
Let me know if I can help with anything else.
Thanks
Hi Danny. Thank you very much for clearing things up.
I totally respect the reasons to differentiate between a lite and premium versions, and simply listing the differences in the WordPress plugin repository, could make it clear to me and others what to expect if choosing Google Fonts Repository. I think that complies with the WordPress.org rules, at least many other developers follows that approach.
Again, thanks for your feedback.

Hi again Bjarne (@oldrup),
I just wanted to follow up and let you know the comparison is now live – https://fontsplugin.com/free-vs-pro/
It’s also listed on the wordpress.org plugin page.
If you have any more ideas on how we can clarify the free/pro distinction I’d be happy to hear them.
I’m thankful for your feedback so far!
Great job @dannycooper making it crystal clear what to expect in the free version, and what you’d want to go premium for. I personally appreciate the transparency a lot. Thank you!
