The University Admission Office is operating remotely. We are available to assist you via email and phone.

Follow the instructions below to check the status of your Admission Application. After submitting supporting documents, please allow 2-3 weeks for your application status to update. Please note that all materials and documents submitted as part of an application for admission become the property of CUNY and cannot be returned.

How to Claim Your CUNYFirst Account

  1. Go to https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu
  2. On the Login page, click ‘New User
  3. On the Account Activation page, enter the following:
    1. First Name, Last Name as they appear on your submitted application.
    2. Date of Birth (‘D.O.B’) in mm-dd-yyyy format (example: 01-02-1999)
    3. The last four digits of your Social Security Number or CUNY assigned ID Number in the ‘SS#’ field. Applicants who do
      not have a Social Security Number will be provided their assigned four digit number.
    4. Click the box next to the words “I’m not a robot” and follow the CAPTCHA text prompts.
  4. Confirm account email address: confirm your email address on the following page or enter a new email.
  5. Receive the Account Login Activation Email in your email account and click the link included.
  6. Create a password and set your five (5) password retrieval questions

How to Check Your Application Status

Visit your CUNYfirst Student Center for updates regarding your application status. If you have already claimed your CUNYfirst account, follow the instructions below to check the status of your application:

  1. Go to https://home.cunyfirst.cuny.edu
  2. Enter your username and password
  3. Once you are logged in, on the left hand side under “CUNYfirst Menu” click ‘Student Center’
  4. Scroll down to the ‘Admissions’ section and click ‘View Details’

Report an Application Error

If you discover an error after you have submitted your application, please contact our Help Desk for Students. Please include:

  1. First and Last Name
  2. CUNYfirst ID number (8-digit number)
  3. Date of Birth
  4. Description of the error
  5. “Update Application” in the subject line
