    Hello @henrikfriis14a ,

I’m sorry that you faced issues with our plugin.

I don’t see any support topic created by you on our support forum, so I would like to ask for some more details about the problem here.
Can you give us examples of false-positive links that our plugin found and what was the response error for those links (like 403 or 404)?

    kind regards,
    Kasia

If it’s of any help, we had an issue recently whereby we were getting lots of links reported as broken which appeared to be fine, however there was an underlying issues.

The links were being reported as 500 (server error) faults rather than not founds, not sure if it’s the same as in your case @henrikfriis14a but there was a bug in a plugin we used to create WooCommerce pages, however the pages themselves displayed just fine when we checked them. Using a crawler tool, however, got the same error message as BLC. So whilst the links weren’t broken as such, there was an underlying issue.

We fixed the issue then cleared the link checking and it’s been fine ever since.

    Hi @arcaswebdesign

Thank you for sharing the information, it will be really helpful for more users.

Those false positives can be caused by different reasons, In most cases, it is related to the destination not allowing the cURL to block the user agent or the IP however in other cases it can be caused by a similar issue that you said.

Feel free to open a support ticket any time you need.

    Best Regards
    Patrick Freitas
