Twenty-four

Every year my birthday sneaks up on me, and this was no exception. After the lull of the holidays and the whirlwind first few days of the year, I am now officially 24. This is the sixth year I’ve celebrated with you guys on this blog, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23. This year should be interesting because many of the things I started 2–5 years ago are just now starting to come to fruition. I’m also hoping there will be some big changes on photomatt.net, including possibly a change in domain name. I’ll post more on that as it develops though. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Looks like I have the privilege of being the first to comment here and wish you a very happy 24th year! You’ve given us WordPress users so much. Do you have any unfulfilled birthday wishes? Is there any way we can help make them come true?

I meant to say, I wish you all the best. 😉

WordPress is fantastic and I’m grateful for all your hard work in making it possible for people over the years.

Matt,

Congrats on making it another year in this fast paced, never ending, rat-biting kind of world. To accomplish what you have, by this time in your life, should bring tears of joy to so many folks who think they’ll never make a mark. You’ve proven that anything is possible, if you have passion, a little bit of skill, a lot of moxie, and just the right timing in life.

Approximately 7 minutes from now, I’ll officially be TWICE as old as you (1/12), and while I’ve made a name and a global rep for myself in ten years of work on my projects, I feel I am just getting started. Of course, I’ve raised three kids, have two grandkids, and went back to college only 4 years ago (have two degrees now, another in May, and a fourth in Sociology in 18 months.

You’ve proven you’re never too young to change the world, and massive wondrous kudoes to you for never backing down. You’ve taught even old fogies like myself a lot. Keep up the great work, and know that even us old time geeks and geezers appreciate ever so much more, what talented youngsters (!?) like you and all the WP crew can teach us each and every day.

Happy Birthday Matt!

Hope you had a nice day. That’s a lot of birthdays you’ve gone through in one digital spot.

I recently hit 30 and I can happily report that I still don’t feel old, ‘like an adult’, or depressed. It’s just the same as ever.

Happy Birthday Matt!
Hope you have a great B-day! Can’t wait to see what you do with the next 5 years – Thank you for sharing so much!

Happy 24th Birthday to you, Matt! Wish you all the best 🙂 Change in domain name? Are you gonna change from photomatt.net to something else?

If your birthday sneaks up on you at age 24 – just wait until your 35th birthday jumps on you like – well something very sneaky and jumpy kind of thingy – then you know your getting older 🙂

Happy days!

Ha, must be the birthday.
We share birthdays and it seems they sneek up to me, too. January 11th probably has the zodiac “ninja”, “capricorn” was a mix-up.

Birthday? Have a happy birthday, then 🙂 With all your generosity to the people on the web, be blessed with a gracefilled life, success and contented living 🙂

By jeezum! Half my age and already famous! Somethin’ ain’t right I tell ya’! And the dedication and steadfastness you’ve shown for someone whose just turned 24 is downright disgusting. And you have a wonderful family on top of it all! Is this right I ask?? Well? Is it?

Well, of course it is! 😛

Happy birthday Matt! And many more to you. May you can keep that steady course in all weather that comes your way. 😀

In the meantime I’m late in taking my Geritol.

At 24, on a ‘conventional track’, one is about as old as would be consistent with having recently completed college, still casting for the right way perhaps, or just getting a start on … something.

With the image of the new college-grad in mind, I am going to use the occasion to register the education-system potential of WordPress (undoubtedly, I imagine & hope, as have umpteen others).

The potential has been recognized & courted for decades, sometimes famously … or infamously. The need remains substantially unmet. Many have tried, but few are satisfied.

As I learn more about the WordPress software and the making of plugins, my attention goes often to how the resource could be made the delight of both educators and students, in or out school…

… On or off the conventional track.

Congratulations & best wishes, Matt!

I’m have no clue how this site could become any better or how would a change in the domain name make it even better. I don’t know what to expect. I’m keeping my expectations in misery, that way I’ll enjoy the surprise, whatever tomorrow brings. In my own life 2.

Happy birthday Matt. You’ve come along way in the past 6 years both personally, business and blog wise.

Your mom without a blog 😉 must be proud.

A possible change in domain name? That should be interesting to see what it might become. Any hints on your ideas?

I’m just into my twenties and haven’t accomplished as much as what you’ve got. But I do got a lot of projects going on and am working hard on them!

May I ask for some tips?

anyway, Happy Birthday!

Welcome of the club of 24-year-olds (which I’m leaving in a couple of weeks), happy birthday and thanks for changing the lives of so many webmasters with WP.

Happy birthday Matt. You must be more rigorous to see the lighter light in years to come. I’ve just read about the 29 million fron NYT. Congrats
