Who can register .co domains?
The .co extension is the country-code top-level domain name (ccTLD) .co extension that represents Colombia. Anyone can register .co domains. There are no restrictions or special requirements for registration.
Expiration
Once the domain reaches 5 days after expiration, the registry puts the domain on a hold status for approximately 40 days. During this time, it’s not possible to update the name servers or make any other changes, including deleting or canceling the domain. At the end of this hold period, the domain enters redemption and an additional fee is required to renew the domain.
