The WordPress UX would benefit from a notification centre. Plugin and theme authors wreak havoc on the WordPress admin experience with banners and warnings appearing all over the place.

A notification centre would eliminate plugin and theme notifications appearing randomly across the WordPress admin dashboard.

Notifications would appear by type / tag eg. promotions, updates, core etc

Notifications could be cleared easily similar to bulk actions for posts.

Oh thats great! I’ll check it out. Is there a list or roadmap of these projects? I could not find this via search yesterday

It’s not very organized. The big picture is https://wordpress.org/about/roadmap/
but the Make blogs are different teams and each can have posts about their various projects and roadmaps. (It’s a WP multisite.)
