  3. in 1980 President Carter Jimmy Carter signed the Mental Health Systems Act (S. 1177) at the Woodburn Mental Health Center in Annandale, VA. After signing, he handed the pen to First Lady Rosalynn Carter. NAID 847612

  5. Here is what President Carter wrote in "White House Diary" on page 359 for 10/5/79: "Carl Yastrzemski came by, and I congratulated him on his 3,400 hits and 450 home runs. He's a nice guy." Image: NAID 841504
