After almost exactly a year without updates to WP-Table Reloaded, you might have been wondering what’s going on. The explanation is easy: WP-Table Reloaded is now much better, but has gotten a new name: TablePress
Over the last months, I’ve been busy rewriting WP-Table Reloaded from scratch, using state-of-the-art techniques and technologies. This also allowed me to throw away some cruft in the code base, and as I have also integrated many enhancements and new features, I felt that a new name for the plugin was appropriate. Therefore, consider this the official announcement:
WP-Table Reloaded has been replaced by TablePress!
For more information, please see the official TablePress website at tablepress.org and the plugin’s page in the WordPress Plugin Directory.
If you are a new user, and haven’t used WP-Table Reloaded before, please proceed with TablePress straight away, and do not use WP-Table Reloaded. If you are currently using WP-Table Reloaded, I recommend that you switch to TablePress in the next months. WP-Table Reloaded will no longer be supported and will be phased out in favor of TablePress. Switching from WP-Table Reloaded is very easy: Just follow the migration guide.
