Do_action WordPress Nigeria Charity Hackathon
WordPress communities in Nigeria in partnership with the WordPress Global Foundation, Tunbosun Ayinla and How Do You Tech came together to build websites for 9 non-profit organizations in the region that are impacting and inspiring lives in Nigeria.
This year, we hosted a virtual doaction Hackathon in Nigeria. Local communities came together over Whatsapp and Slack to build websites for 9 NGOs. The event started on August 31st and ended on September 11.
A brief overview of all Non-Governmental Organisations that participated in this year’s WordPress Nigeria Do_action Event. Below, we have the list and overview of the NGOs and the Beautiful websites built by Each Volunteer team assigned to their respective NGO.
Arewa Female Youth Ambassadors Initiative
Arewa Female Youth Ambassadors initiative (AFYAi) is a Non-Governmental Organization that focuses on helping Northern women, the less privileged, providing lasting solutions to drug abuse, domestic violence, girl child education, among other social vices bedeviling our societal development. AFYAi has structures across the 19 Northern States of Nigeria with a vibrant Kebbi State indigene lady as founder. AFYAi is leading the way in becoming the hope and spreading its structures across the 19 Northern states of Nigeria.

Feeding without Boundaries #FWB is an humanity driven organization aimed at supporting and feeding the vulnerable and less privileged people, particularly during festive periods.We provide varying degrees of support to Widows, People Living with Disabilities (PLWD), Motherless Children, and basically the underprivileged in general.We aim at leaving a long lasting impression in the minds of our reach that even with their present condition they realise that they are a core part of the society.We use our different programs to remind them that they belong to the society too and have every reason to live a good life.

Hope for Coastal Women Empowerment Initiative
Hope for Coastal Women Empowerment Initiative (HOFCOWEM), is a non Governmental Organization founded and incorporated on the 12th day of April, 2019 with registration number CAC/IT /NO. 127688. HOFCOWEM is a community with headquarters in Oron, Akwa Ibom State and has extended coverage to 3 states in the Niger Delta region,namely, Cross River, Rivers and Bayelsa States.
With our core values being integrity, accountability, self-sufficiency, respect, responsibility, gender diversity and servant leadership, we hope to see a community where hope of the vulnerable and disadvantaged women, children, youths, girls and the elderly in the unreached Coastal region are rekindled
Inmates Educational Foundation
The INMATES EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION idea was birthed in 2017, and the concept was later developed, fully registered, and started operations in 2018.
It was initiated to serve as a platform for rehabilitation, reformation, and liberation projects for inmates in all correctional centres across the nation.
