Introducción a Open Source es una conferencia / taller sobre la filosofía del software Open Source, donde aprenderemos y exploraremos cómo el Open Source ha cambiado el mundo en el que vivimos.

Hablaremos sobre que quiere decir el término Open Source cuando se refiere a software y lo que proporciona la licencia de software GPL, porque WordPress es un proyecto Open Source y porque esto es importante tanto para los usuarios de WordPress como para los desarrolladores.

No se tratará temas exclusivamente de WordPress, sino también cómo otros programas de código abierto, como Linux, Apache, ROR, Python y otros, han impactado en nuestras vidas.

Incluiremos una sesión abierta para que cualquiera de los asistentes pueda hablar sobre cualquier proyecto codificado o publicado en código abierto.

Este evento es completamente gratuito y abierto para quienes quieran participar, solo debe apartar su cupo en este Meetup para que sepamos cuántas personas asistirán al evento. Si despues cambias de opinion y no asistiras al evento, debes darte de baja en la plataforma de Meetup para que otro colega pueda tomar su lugar y disfrutar de este gran evento.

Introduction to Open Source is a conference/workshop about Open Source software philosophy, where we will learn and explore how Open Source has changed the world in which we live.

We will talk about what the term Open Source means when it refers to software and what the GPL software license provides, because WordPress is an Open Source project and because this is important for both WordPress users and developers.

It will not be exclusively about WordPress, but also how other open source programs, such as Linux, Apache, ROR, Python, and others, have impacted our lives.

We will include an open session so that any of the attendees would talk about any project codified or published in open source.

This event is entirely free and open for those who want to participate; you should only set aside your quota in this Meetup so that we know how many people will attend the event.
