Will there be an environment to complete exercises and work with the tool provide during the training?
A training environment is created to duplicate the experience of the OneTrust tool and has been populated with dummy data that we will be able to use.

How long will I have access to the training environment?
You will have access to the training environment until the end of the day of class.

Will I receive some type of course completion/certification at the end of the course?
After completion of the course, you will have 30 days to take the Certification Exam. Once you pass the OneTrust Certification Exam you will receive a Certificate and be issued a digital badge.

What do I need to bring to the training?
Please bring a WIFI compatible laptop or device with a charging cord. This is to ensure you can fully participate in all our hands-on exercises.

How long will my certification be valid?
1 year. In 1 year you will get an email with a link to a new exam when it’s time to renew.

How long is the OneTrust Professional Certification training?
In-person training is a full day 8 hour course. Virtual events are hosted online over two half-days.

After attending the course, how long will I have to take the exam?

What if I don’t pass the exam?
You have 2 attempts to take and pass the exam.

What is covered in the course?
The day-long course is a high-level overview of each one of our modules and how the OneTrust tool can help demonstrate compliance with GDPR and CCPA.

How do I prepare for the exam?
Using the handbook you received and any notes you may have taken, you should be able to successfully complete the exam.

How do I become a OneTrust Fellow of Privacy Technology?
After you complete all 10 courses and pass course exams, a member of the OneTrust Training team will reach out with more information. If you believe you qualify, email

How do I get my OneTrust Fellow Trophy?
All Fellows are eligible to receive a trophy to celebrate their accomplishment. The option to opt-in to a trophy will be included in the email you receive from the OneTrust Training team mentioned in the question above.

How do I get a OneTrust Certification Badge by Acclaim?
Once you earn a certification, you will receive an email from
[email protected] with a link to set up your Acclaim account and accept your new badge. To make sure you receive your badge notification email, and that it doesn't wind up in your spam folder, add
[email protected] as a Contact or Safe Sender in your email settings.

How long after earning a certification will I be issued a badge?
Badges are issued once per week. Please allow up to five (5) business days after earning a certification to receive the email to accept your badge.

My information on my badge is incomplete or needs to be corrected. What do I do?
If you need your information updated on either the OneTrust University or Acclaim (badging tool) platforms, please reach out to

How do I get updated OneTrust certificates with the new badge designs?
New certificate designs will be released alongside digital badges. When you are issued a new badge, your certificate will also be updated to the new design in OneTrust University. Log into your OneTrust University account to download an updated certificate.
