We have been using the services of Cats at Home for over 5 years now and can not say enough about the wonderful care our pets have received. Kristin is kind, professional and extremely conscientious. She even alerted us to a change in the gait of one our our cats, we had not noticed! Kristin has responded quickly when we needed emergency animal care! My husband & I both work in healthcare & have been stranded at work due the weather or other emergencies & have relied on Kristin’s quick response to care for our furry family! Dr. John Mazur and his entire staff are the best around. Over the years, Catawba has taken care of 12 dogs in our family. I had a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a several health problems, Dr Mazur figured out a long range plan and my dog lived many years under his care. I own a healthy little dog now who is 18 years old, I can't thank the staff at Catawba for the care, grooming and love given to my animals and their animal patients. I drive from Charlotte and would not think of going anywhere else. You will be impressed with the honest assessment of your animals health and reasonable pricing. I would trust my dogs with any Vet at Catawba!

Matthew was originally hired to assist my nephew in preperation for the Parochial High School Admissions exam. Building a relationship with Matthew was the best thing for my nephew. Matthew was very safe going into this situation creating a trusting a environment. Not knowing what he was walking into, Matthew quickly learned that my nephew’s academic inabilities were far more important than preparing for an high school entrance exam. Immediately Matthew begin working on creating a plan of action. He is very patient, yet intentional about holding my nephew accountable. Moreover, he follows up and send reminders for my nephew (I.e. don’t forget to bring your book home from school, remember to work on your math). Although we have a long way to go, it’s safe to say that we are seeing some progress. Thanks Matthew.

Pack Pet ResortI absolutely love Pack! I have boarded my dog here for a long weekend, he is very high energy and not always the best with strangers. They took such amazing care of him and had zero problems with his behavior while he stayed. I have also dropped him off for an afternoon to play and get out all of his energy...he was passed out in the back seat before I even got home. I've had my other dog groomed here, he loves the treatment and comes home smelling amazing. The staff here is extremely professional and kind. I have no doubt that when I leave my dog he will be treated well. I recommend Pack to all of my friends with fur babies and will continue to come here.- Heather K.

Pack Pet ResortMy dog has been going to Pack since she was a puppy (over 2 years now) and we’ve always had excellent service there. I know my dog Koury loves it there because as soon as we pull up her tail starts wagging because she’s so excited to see her friends. At the start of the pandemic when they were closed to the public, they still allowed me as a healthcare worker to bring Koury to daycare. It was really nice that that was one less thing I had to worry about at that time. Pack has always gone above and beyond in taking care of Koury and providing me with peace of mind.- Colby R.

A Ruff JointService was fine, but my Newfypoo was most often still damp at pick up. I finally asked specifically on our last visit (December 9, 2020) that her ears be dried completely. But, when I picked her up, her ears were still wet and she had been crated. I've had to blow dry her ears every time she's been groomed there and last time, with the cool weather, even blow drying her ears when we got home didn't prevent an ear yeast infection. :( Don't expect these folks to follow instructions or go the extra mile - they will not - but the will charge you as if they do. NOT happy with this groomer . . . .- Paige M.

Pampered Paws Pet SpaWe typically go out of our way to support smaller businesses rather than just defaulting to chains as we understand how challenging it is for a small or family run business, especially in today's climate, but in no circumstance should one be expected to overlook poor customer service just beacuse a place is a small business, or because we are all dealing with Covid, as a smile, good communication skills, listening to understand and apologizing for one's mistakes has nothing to do with being a big or small business, so it is unfortunate that our experience with Pampered Paws contained none of the above mentioned things that should be a given if a business expects to not only survive, but actually thrive in today's environment. After picking up our four legged family member we communicated that we were not pleased with the cut and the multiple requested services that were either forgotten and/or not completed fully and boy did things go downhill from there. It is a sign of poor customer service and lack of compassion and empathy in my opinion when you bring an issue about the service to someone's attention and are met with excuses and invalidating statements such as "All my customers love me", "I have never had a complaint", "You can ask anyone and they all have great things to say about me", "I am the most (fill in the blank) person you will ever meet", "I feel like you are the type of person who just complains about everything" and "I have been doing this for 20 years, so I know what I am doing", as these statements reek of defensiveness and rationalization, rather than simply acknowledging the issues, apologizing and vowing to do better moving forward. The former results in a negative experience and a lost customer, while the latter results in a second chance. Unfortunately this place lacks not only basic customer service skills, but comes off with a condescending and dismissive attitude that I would not want myself nor my pet to be around, because if that is how someone comes off in my presence, I don't want to imagine how that might act when I am not around, especially when their job is supposed to involve compassion, understanding and patience. Yes, we should support small businesses, and yes times are tough due to Covid, but no that does not mean we should settle for "less than" as basic manners don't get a pass just because of the times, as they should be a value that we carry with us at all times, because adversity doesn't just test character, it reveals it.- Stephen P.

AAA Pet Services Hospital & Mobile Vet ClinicIt started off well, but the quality deteriorated over the years. Things took a turn for the worse when the owner decided to ignore CDC guidelines and declare the establishment mask free. The sign on the door says, do not enter if you feel unsafe. Creates unsafe environment. Tells customers to not enter if they do not feel safe. Complains when customers use this as a reason to terminate their contract. Not recommended.- James W.

Pet Paradise MooresvilleThis is by far the most outstanding Kennel I have ever used! From the moment you arrive and your pet is welcomed as a cherished family member to the moment you pick them up, there is such a sense of comfort in the level of professionalism and true caring! You can peek at your pet anytime via cameras, and as you check in or out, you can see the interactions through massive windows! There is a large pool area with fountains, and SO much play space in several yards, My guy is always incredibly excited to be there, and is happy and tired when I pick him up. As a mom to a special needs collie, knowing there is care 24/7 as well as vet services onsite for concerns or simply general animal care, I leave him knowing he is being loved by people who take their job seriously and deeply love these animals AND their jobs! The grooming is impeccable (And Finn has a LOT of fur!) as is the total service experience. I simply cannot recommend enough this outstanding location!!!- Jane P.

CONTINENTAL BOARDING & DOGGIE DAYCAREI cannot think of anything that I do not like about them. They know my dog very well and they are always happy to see her. Everybody that works there seems to be having fun and generally care about dogs. They are very easy going as far as what my needs are for my dog, so they take that into consideration. I pay them between $25 and $30 a day. I like them a lot.- Patricia H.
