Termite Control in San Francisco

We had termites in 2009, they did an extermination, and I wanted to make sure that the termites were still gone.

Planet Orange is a very great company for termite control. I have been a customer for more than 5 years now. Because of their great service and treatment of termites, I still have a good house to live in. There are no more termites in the areas after they did the treatment. I have a three-story house. Some areas were very difficult to reach, but they found a way to do the treatment anyway. Planet Orange is the company you can count on for taking care of your home that has termites. The inspector showed up on time and did the inspection. This was a limited termite inspection. This company treated our house for termites about 10 years ago. No termites were found on this inspection. This company is now Aantex Pest Control.

Inspector came out within 2 hours of my initial call. While doing other construction, I found termite damage in my garage. He inspected my entire home including the crawl space. No other signs of termite or termite damage was located.

When I did a search for 'termite' on your site, this deal popped up. I chose it, since it was from a known termite service company, and sounded like it could be used for termites. Planet Orange told me it was for other pests and could not be used for termite service. They gave me a quote for regular service of termites, but after not getting confirmation of angie's list discount, and an answer to how I may be able to use this coupon toward termite service, I decided to go with someone else.

Great. Inspector arrived right on time and was extremely thorough. He stayed as long as needed, answered all our questions, and pointed out problem areas. He thoroughly explained the termite treatment and arranged for an appointment to implement a termite solution as early as possible that fit with everyone's schedules. The person who did the termite work was on time, professional, courteous, and informative. He worked diligently, quickly, and thoroughly. We've recommended Concord Termite Control to another homeowner.

We had had another termite inspection which we paid Homeguard for before we started our addition. When Mark came out he stated that there were no termites in a few of the areas that Homeguard stated that we had them. The rest had been removed with the grading and addition so we didn't need any termite work done. I would use Mark again, he is honest in an obviously dishonest business, finding termites where they don't exist.

Once Don got there he took a look at the hand rail that had termite activity and gave me a quick breakdown on everything termites and other wood destroying organisms (fungi, beetles, etc). Don explained that the termites in the rail were Dry Wood termites and it looks like they are only in this specific area of the property. He recommends that I have someone come and replace that piece of wood and to seal it with paint to prevent future termite issues. One lesson I learned is that some termites can fly and they won't go through paint! Don recommends sealing all unsealed wood with paint and caulk up areas that are unsealed/cracked. We're in the middle of closing on a condo, and we know there is some termite damage from a prior infestation-- we heard the condo association tented the complex 2 years ago. A prior potential buyer had another company do a termite report on the house--- that report indicated termites. But we were unsure of how much of the termite damage is new vs. old, so I called to schedule a free termite inspection. Their receptionist, Mary, asked me to describe what evidence of termites we've seen and after some discussion advised me to hold off on the inspection for now. She explained that tenting is usually pretty effective. She said to call back as soon as we see any signs of new damage (droppings/etc). She seemed trustworthy and very willing to help. Money being tight, I think Mary's advice has helped me reformulate my approach. We were going to repair the deck anyways (this is where most of the damage is visible) so when we do that we'll look for new termite damage. If we see anything suspicious, then we'll call Mary (and Mark) at Bay Area Termite Co.!

Working with Killroy was so easy. We had subterranean and drywood termites in the garage area. They did a careful inspection and took care of the areas with the termites. Very professional and informative. Would definitely recommend.

Subterranean termite tunnels were clearly visible in a disused corner of the garage, so we knew we needed treatment. Pacific Coast Termite provided a comprehensive estimate and clear description of all services to be performed, and were able to start the work within a few days. The PCT workers showed up on time, worked carefully around our pavers and landscaping, and even managed to treat the hard-to-reach second-story attic. They cleaned up everything and provided excellent documentation of all the worked performed plus their warranty. Hopefully we won't need termite services again for many years, but if we do we'll definitely call Pacific Coast Termite.

Excellent. Peter and Steve with Coastside Termite are excellent ! I have known and used Coastside Termite exclusively for several years. If you want to have an honest and quality inspection of your home, this company is the best. They find areas of concern that others do not. For example, Coastside Termite found fungus damage behind my hallway bathroom, something others missed. They also inspected areas that others would not do. Including pulling back insulation to check around areas that would typically be vulnerable to water damage, like outside doors. They do the work professionally and with the utmost ethics. If you want to really know the status of your home with respect to termite / beetles / dry rot / etc., Coastside Termite will tell you and you can trust them. Peter does the inspections, and he is always objective in his findings. Coastside Termite also does very high quality construction. I have not used them yet for that, but their reputation precedes them. I am a picky consumer, and really want to make sure whatever work is done is done right. I have confidence in Peter and Steve that this is their practice. Their pricing is fair and competitive. I would recommend Coastside Termite to anyone. If you want honesty and quality, this is the company for you.

I wanted a paid-for termite inspection, which few companies seem willing to do if you're not selling the house. Hitmen did a very thorough inspection and was willing to tailor the suggested work to take care of the termites, but not over-treat (yes, we had a few termites). I wanted them to use a specific, lowest-possible toxicity, product for treating subterranean termites and they were able to use the one I wanted I never had the feeling they were trying to sell me something I didn't need. Overall, a very good experience.

After other termite service came out and did a confused estimate that would have cost $2000-$5000 I sought a second opinion. Bay Area Termite inspector did a quick inspection and so there were no visible signs of active termites but that I should continue to monitor specific areas. As this reconfirmed what I and my contractor expected I am following this advice and I will call Bay Area Termites if do see anything suspicious.

They did a good job and my house is still termite-free today. After filing the report, I took their recommendations to add concrete to the outdoor porch posts. The concrete shoring-up to the posts outside has withstood 3 winter rainy seasons fine. They came to spray for termites once under the house. A week later I noticed an area inside the house that still had termites roaming in the walls. I was told to wait until a few weeks had passed to make sure the toxin had penetrated the subterranean termite lodgings and reached the queen. After this time passed and there were still termites in the wall, they came back and sprayed under the brick front porch. This solved the problem.

I called Bay Area Termite on 11/11/09 to make an appointment for a termite inspection. The next available time was 11/18/09 at noon. Mark came about 15 minutes late, which is not a real big deal. I told him there were two areas in the house where I was made aware of (from the plumber when he was repiping my house) which may have termite activities. He looked at one of the areas, behind the vanity in the bathroom. He said there were termite activity but not any more. The other area was behind the wall so we could not get to check it. He went up to the attic and looked at the roof and beams and did not notice any termite tracks. He then looked at a few corners in the garage, and took a walk around the house on the outside looking at all the undersides of the roof and wall. He told me there were history of termite in the bath but did not see any present activities from subteranian termites. He told me if I see lots of flying bugs in the house during the rainy season, give him a call.

Called for a termite inspection and potential treatment because I have seen dropping on a patio table. Mark came out with two assistants and did a complete inspection, including attic and crawl space, and found no termite activity. Imagine a bay area home without termites! They appeared on time and were very professional in conducting the inspection and discussing the results. Clearly a honest service provider.
