We called a couple of days before we wanted the delivery. They were able to give us a day and time right away. The day of the delivery they called and said they needed to switch the time from the afternoon to the morning. They were able to give us an 1 1/2 hour window so it wasn't a big deal. The driver was able to get down our long narrow driveway to dump the dirt close to the backyard. We didn't think they could pull it off, but they did. Also, we called a couple of places, and their prices were competitive.

DELIVERY WAS GOOD. THE COMPANY WAS RESPECTFUL AND COMPLIANT. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN FOR FUTURE JOBS.

MY EXPERIENCE THAT I HAD AT MORGANS HOME & GARDEN HAS BEEN OVERALL A GREAT EXPERIENCE. THE EMPLOYEES THAT I DEALT WITH FOR THE SOIL, COULD USE A BIT OF IMPROVEMENT IN THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILL. MAYBE MAKING CUSTOMER FEEL A LITTLE MORE WELCOMED.

Very well. I ordered the compost by email and Saskia followed up by phone to confirm the price and delivery location. Cornelius delivered the compost as promised and was very careful not to disturb anything in the garden around the area. Turnaround time was quick, and it was easy to arrange a convenient time for delivery. Prices are comparable to other soil products in the area, and I think the quality is much better. Very nice people to do business with!

EXCELLENT DESIGN TEAM & GOOD EYE FOR WHAT LOOKS BEST IN CERTAIN YARDS. I WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE & THE END RESULT OF MY YARD! I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN & I GO THERE FOR ANYTHING PERTAINING TO HOME & GARDEN.

From initial phone call to delivery, the entire experience went very smoothly. The quality of the sod, now that it has set is excellent, and we get many comments on how good our yard now looks.

The delivery driver was very friendly and arrived on time. He unloaded the mulch as requested in our yard so that we could distribute it on our flower beds and around our trees.

THE SERVICE WE RECEIVED WHILE ORDERING THE SANDY LOAM FILL DIRT WAS EXCELLENT. THE DELIVERY SERVICE WAS ON TIME & THEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. WE WOULD USE THEIR SERVICES AGAIN.

It went great! The first day the crew was on time, but they had to wait for the rock delivery. Once they had everything it went fast. They even translated some plants for me and left the leftover rock.

The things I liked about The Sod Shop was 1) they only need a few days notice, 2) they were the most reasonably priced, 3) they called the day before delivery to let me know what time to expect them, 4) they gave me a delivery window of 7 am to 9 am and promptly arrived at 7 am, and 5) the sod is beautiful! It took my husband and I about 4 hours of hard work, but it looks great! It is lush, green and healthy looking.

ROB REALLY HELPED US TO GET OUR DECAYING YARD LOOKING PRESENTABLE FOR A SUMMER PARTY. HE WAS PUNCTUAL, PROFESSIONAL, AND EFFICIENT. HIS CREW REMOVED EVERY WEED IN SIGHT IN ONE MORNING VISIT-EVEN IN THE ALLEY AND SIDE GARAGE. HE PICKED A NICE TREE TO ACCENT THE FRONT AND HARDY COLORFUL PLANTS FOR SOME COLOR. I THINK HE WORKS BEST WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS MORE OF AN IDEA OF WHAT THEY WANT DESIGN WISE. HIS PRICES WERE MORE REASONABLE THAN THE CREW WE HIRED LAST SUMMER TO DO THE SAME WORK. I LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH HIM AGAIN.

It did not go. I had to continually call and email to get a response, and in the end, Cash disappeared and I never got a water feature design. It is my opinion that he was not prepared to handle the volume generated, and instead of offering a date in the future, he overcommitted and underdelivered.

I had decided to replace the bed of weeds and grab grass with a new lawn. I had been referred by my Uncle and neighbor to the Grass Farm over the local home improvement stores as the GF cuts the sod the morning they deliver it. I called the GF in Morgan Hill in late May, after hours (Open: 7am to 12pm, M-F), and left a message to get some price quotes. I didn't get a call back, but figured since my soil wasn't ready for sod it wasn't a big deal. As I got closer to getting everything ready I gave the GF another call, this time during business hours. I got someone on the phone pretty quick and she gathered some information, made some suggestions and provided my pricing quotes for pick up and delivery. The price quotes for 612 feet of the Double Dwarf Champion which was recommended for my area was around $225 if I picked it up or an additional $90 to have it delivered with the rise in sod cost ($0.335 to $0.395/sq. ft.), fuel charge and delivery fee. She mentioned if I had a 1.5 ton truck I could carry the 2 pallets required for 612 feet of sod. I hung up and called the 2 people I knew with large trucks and quickly realized it was not worth the trouble of trying to borrow or rent a truck and drive all the way down to Gilroy to pick up the sod (Only the Gilroy location is open for weekend order pick-ups). I called back and spoke to a different person but they were able to pull up my quote, finalize my order and schedule the delivery for that Saturday. She took my credit card info over the phone. I ended up adding a sod knife ($5) and a bag of start fertilizer ($16) to the order and was told I would receive a call to confirm the delivery time a day prior to the delivery. On that Friday, I received a call from a gentleman informing me that my sod order of 612 ft. would be delivered between 7am and 8am the next day. I joked and said I don't even get to sleep in! He chuckled and mentioned that I didn't have to be there to accept the order. He mentioned the pallets could be left in the driveway, if cleared, or at the curb. I asked him to place the pallets by the curb next to the front yard were the sod was going to be laid. When I woke up Saturday morning around 9am I had 2 pallets of sod sitting right at the curb next to prepped soil with my sod cutter, fertilizer, receipt, credit card slip and installation/maintenance directions. 2 hours later I had a lawn! My only grips are I didn't receive a call back from the voicemail I left for the sales staff and the price different per foot for the sod to have it delivered. I don't mind paying the delivery free and fuel surcharge, I expected it, but that plus a sod price increase I though was a little much. Either way, it was still easier to have them deliver in my situation and I will be ordering from them when I redo the back yard. I would recommend the Grass Farm to anyone looking for sod; they have an excellent product, they are professional on the phone and timely with their deliveries.

Vivian interacts well with me as a client and is very responsive to my likes and dislikes. She is punctual, reliable, makes suggestions when asked and is very knowledgeable about her craft. I would recommend her to anyone and will continue to employ her services. Her prices are very reasonable and her work is excellent.

Alberto is gracious and charming. It was a pleasure to work with his company. I needed the work to be completed almost immediately and he made sure it was done before my deadline. The quality of the work is excellent and the workers cleaned up well afterwards. His original estimate for the work is what I paid, even though a delivery truck refused to cross the wooden bridge to the property and all the materials had to be off-loaded and re-loaded onto a smaller truck to then be delivered to the work site - a tedious extra step for the crew.

Scott and his assistant were professional and great to work with. Scott met with us a few times to get a good understanding of what we wanted and also suggest some ideas. He was flexible and patient when the flagstone I picked out wasn't in stock and was delayed in delivery. He did an excellent job with all the work and left a very clean and attractive worksite. The final cost matched the estimate, with the exception of some extra plants I asked for at the last minute.

Overall Atlas did a great job and were very easy to work with. We had a few glitches that needed resolving such as a broken electrical line and a material delivery problem. However, Atlas responded very quickly to all off our issues and resolved the matter without question. Atlas had the lowest price and was able to start the project the soonest. I would definitely work with them again.

I WAS NOT THAT HAPPY WITH THEM. I FOUND A FEW ERRORS ON HIS BILLING. I ALSO CHECK THE PRICES WITH THE LOCAL NURSERY. THEY WERE NOT THE SAME AS WHAT HE TOLD ME. HE HAD MARKED THEM UP QUITE A BIT. (MORE THAN NORMAL)

Working with Shubha on our landscaping has made everything easier. From her original designs to her courteous workers and on time and on budget project delivery, we've been happy with both the process and the result. She is very water and maintenance conscious and as a result our landscape looks great year round without excessive water usage. She's conscious of insect activity, the "right plant in the right place" and really took into account our lifestyle when designing and implementing our garden. I'd recommend her wholeheartedly!

ANDY IS VERY FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HAS A GOOD CREW WORKING FOR HIM. HE FEELS FREE TO MAKE SUGGESTIONS AND WILL CARRY OUT OUR WISHES WITH RESPECT TO GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORK. HE WILL EVEN PUT IN SOME NICE PLANTS OCCASIONALLY WITHOUT OUR REQUESTING THEM. MOWING, BLOWING, FERTILIZING, ETC. IS ALL COMPLETED AS NECESSARY BY ANDY. HE IS SOMETIMES NON-RESPONSIVE TO PHONE MESSAGES, BUT DOES GET THE WORK DONE. WE HAVE REFERRED HIM & HIS SERVICES TO MANY NEIGHBORS OVER THE YEARS.
