The big job was removing the doors and window and walling in the door areas/replacing the window with a regular one. They spent time coming out and studying the project to discuss what was the best way to get the best results (especially because my house is very old, and the siding on the outside is different in different places) They ended up going out for materials a couple of times to make sure the job was done perfectly. Brian did a really artistic job on the outside siding, replacing the whole wall area with similar wood siding and matching it up to the trim on top and sides. They also did a nice job, consulting me all along as they discussed how to best solve each problem. The did a great job on the other door and window as well.. The window was a tough job because the previous worker had not only installed the window in the wrong way, but had also covered the wood siding with plastic siding. Thus the new standard window didn't fit, and they had to do some creative installation. It took a while, but they did a great job and it looks completely professional. Although they didn't feel the attic bean strapping job was necessary, the electrician I need to do some work was afraid to walk on the celing, so they did the strapping very fast and efficiently. I would have had no idea what to ask for or what to pay to solve the problem, and they did it so fast and reasonably that I know i can completely trust them. When there is a job that can be done more cheaply, Paul also refers me to another colleague who doesn't do finishing work, but does basic handyman stuff for even less money. Paul calls and comes when he says he will. No complaints at all. Just don't take up all his time; I will be needing him for other jobs!:) (and pay him a little extra if he doesn't charge you for the time to go buy things and the discussion of the plans.)
