They pay attention to the details and leave the area cleaner than when they arrive. I've worked with them on several properties now for both interior, exterior paint, and cabinetry, and the work is always excellent. They are my first call on any property that needs quality paint.

House Doctor Painting painted the interior of my house. Preparation was poor to non-existent. Two of the major problems were not properly preparing the existing oil-based paint so the new paint would adhere to the old paint, and not cleaning areas of dust and dirt prior to painting. The result is that the new paint is peeling off of the old paint, and the areas that were not cleaned prior to spraying of the new paint are like sandpaper due to the dust in the paint coating. Other problems: - improper protection in the area to be sprayed, allowing the paint spray to go out the open windows and coat the window screens, - touching up areas by brushing fresh paint over the previously painted (and dried) paint which results in a very visible patch, - dry brushing touch-up paint so it looks like someone sanded the paint with a very coarse sandpaper, - use of a lower quality paint, - it was noted on the estimate that they would stipple areas that had been patched to match the existing stippling and take care of nail pops on the walls and ceiling; they didn't do it, - did not remove mildew before painting the drywall and window sill around the living room window with the result that the paint peeled off when I removed the mildew, - Numerous places where they missed painting, - in the bathrooms left over spray on the toilet lid, lavatory and floor, - missed painting the medicine cabinet trim in two bathrooms - even though the paint color had been specified for the walls they used a lighter color of their choice rather than the specified color This is not a painting company that can be expected to do a competent painting job. The owner does not return phone calls after they have left the job. I can only guess it's because he does not want to fix the mess he made. I do not recommend using them and they should not be recommended by Angie's List.

I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with the Green Valley Painting. This was my second cabinet painting project and the first one was a disaster but I learned more than I need to know about how cabinets should be painted. Green Valley Painting painted all my cabinets and entertainment center and it came out beautifully. They knew exactly what they were doing, they made sure they took the time to get it done right and it was a very fair price. I will not hesitate to rehire them when I need some other work done and I will not hesitate to recommend them, they did and will do excellent work. Here are some pictures to prove my point.

Be prepared to dine out for a week. Do this project in warm weather as you will want the windows open even at night once the painting has begun. In addition to initial de-greasing and sanding, your cabinets will receive intermediate sanding and priming before the final 2 coats of paint are applied. The cabinet doors and drawers are removed and painted off-site so you'll be able to see at a glance EVERYTHING stored in the cbinets before you empty them.

The cabinets were new but the original cabinet maker apparently didn't properly prime them before painting them white. After close to two years of trying to get the paint to stick to the cabinets, I called in Charles Patore to reface the cabinets. He was reasonably priced and the cabinets--refaced and painted white--look great.

This is the fourth time that our family has contracted with Green Valley Painting and as always- we are 100% pleased with the work they've done! Due to the size of our house and the fact that we didn't want to move out while they painted the interior, Ian's crew split the job into two phases. They were so easy to work with and very patient with my daily inspections. We needed some serious drywall repairs and the work done was perfect- you can't even tell. I love the help they give with paint colors and sheens. In addition, Ian's quote was fantastic and he was willing and able to start the work a couple of months earlier than the other bids we looked at. We will continue to highly recommend Green Valley Painting.

Larson Brothers Painting did an excellent job transforming our old 1980's era oak cabinets in the kitchen and powder room into bright new cabinets. Project manager John O'Neill, as well as the team , Alex and Matthew , did a very professional job. We knew the painting of cabinets would be a labor intensive job requiring attention to detail, and we were very impressed with the outcome. Also, the communication was always informative, and they were very pleasant to work with. They also took care to contain and clean up work related dust etc, which was appreciated. This was my second experience hiring the Larson Brothers. Previously they did interior painting with equally excellent results. As with all professional, there is some scheduling involved , since great professionals are in demand. My husband and I give them the highest recommendation! This painting project occurred in our house in Napa.

Walt arrived on time. He set up in the garage so he could sand and paint the doors. He sanded and painted the cabinets in the bathrooms. He was here for three days from about 7:30 till 3:00. I was unable to be home but felt comfortable with him in the house. When he left everything was cleaned up and locked up. The cabinets look great. About two years ago Walt painted my kitchen cabinets. They look beautiful and have held up very well.

Walt did an EXCELLENT job!!! I am a single woman and know next to nothing about home repairs and maintenance and I feel that in the past I have been at the mercy of some contractors. Therefore, when I contracted with Walt's Quality Painting I was hoping for the best but quite honestly expecting the worst. I needed to get my house painted and once again I felt vulnerable dealing with a trademan. Happily, however, what I received was even more than I hoped for. This tradesman absolutely exceeded every expectation I had and then some. Walt Christen proved he is a an old time craftsman who still takes pride in his work and he adheres to the principal that a satisfied customer is the best advertising. Without reservation I'm pleased to recommend Walt's Quality Painting to anyone wanting their house painted, either inside or out. Walt not only did an excellent job painting and sealing and caulking my house, but he took extra care to be prompt and clean. He showed up at the appointed time, the job did not take longer than the time he promised, and when he was done, I never found so much as a stray drop of paint!!! (and believe me, I looked!) Since having the paint job done, I've compared Walt's work to other to the work on other houses in the neighborhood that were painted by a local, non-licensed painter who charges a few bucks less. Had I gone with this painter, I would definitely have been disappointed as I'm sure these homeowners are (or will be when time takes its toll). I can still see cracks at the eaves and foundation that were left unfilled and painted, cracks in the stucco that were not repaired, paint spills and overpainting on the windows. In some cases, some of the homes were not even powerwashed before painting. No so with my job!!!! Walt powerwashed my stucco, sealed and caulked the eaves and foundation, made repairs to the stucco and put extra sealer on the trim to help guard against sun damage. Walt took extra care to seal what I thought were holes in my foundation because I thought they might possibly let those little lizard thingees into my house. They weren't really holes but Walt made me happy by doing it anyway. To go a step further, Walt even graciously power washed my patio and patio furniture and sidewalk which he did not have to do, again just to help me and compliment the job he had already done on my house. Thanks to Walt's conscientious work, I feel like I have a brand new house, and I feel comfortable knowing that it is sealed and protected from harsh Brentwood summers. If you need painting done, please don't hesitate to give this painter your business. He's licensed and bonded and he delivers what he promises. Pretty rare in this day and age! You just can't ask for more than that. I'd use the services of Walt's Quality Painting again in a heartbeat. When I need the inside painted, he'll be the guy I call.

If you need a handyman, Carlos Painting and Handyman services are absolutely the way to go! From the first correspondence, Carlos was professional and prompt. His work (and that of his very capable assistant Luis) included the following: *installing doorknobs and smoke alarms, *sealing, priming and painting the outside of our living room and dining room windows, *completely redoing a skylight in the kitchen (cleaning, scraping, priming, painting) It's absolutely beautiful and has changed the look and feel of our whole kitchen! *installing two light fixtures (this included fixing the wiring in both), *painting kitchen cabinets, *regrouting the kitchen sink, *priming and painting the baseboards in the living room, dining room and hallway, *fixing a water damaged wall *Priming and painting the trim around the living and dining room windows. *priming and painting the wall around the living room windows *removing the carpet in the large hallway and cleaning up the hardwood underneath, (gorgeous) *taking the paint off of some tiling in the bathroom. Carlos brought all of the supplies and even went to home depot to pick up some items for projects that I had added to the original list. Carlos is a perfectionist who takes great pride in his work. He is a great listener when you explain what you need and makes valuable suggestions! I love walking around the house and seeing all of the wonderful improvements. Walt came and listened to what we wanted, took measurements and explained everything he was going to do. Sent us a detailed competitive quote documenting everything he would do and gave us a start date and expected completion date which we accepted. Walt arrived every day on time, covered floors and interior surfaces, worked diligently while here and cleaned up every day. The job was completed to our satisfaction one day early. Walt uses state of the art equipment and old school knowledge to achieve painting perfection. Walt is an example of a craftsman who promises perfection and over delivers on his promise. I will contact Walt for further painting projects at our home and would recommend him to all.

We originally contacted Joe Aspatore to provide an estimate for painting our kitchen cabinets. We had just purchased a condo in Lafayette and were unfamiliar with contractors in this area which is why we consulted Angie's list. Joe was very prompt in responding to our request for an estimate and we decided to not only have him refinish the kitchen cabinets but to also do some interior painting for us. Joe was truly exceptional in many ways. We live primarily in Florida (Lafayette is our second home) and having Joe perform this work while we were living and working in Florida was a bit tricky. But he made this process extremely smooth and easy for us. He kept us updated on every stage of the process by sending pictures to us as they progressed. It was clear from the pictures that Joe was meticulous about protecting our furniture and floors while they performed this work. Joe also provided invaluable advice and consultation to us about various issues that popped up during the project. I can't recommend Joe enough. He's very talented and extremely dedicated to doing a great job for his clients.

When it comes to our living space we are very particular about how we want things to look. Ilan and his Sigura Pro Painting team handled every challenge we threw at them. We had a good amount of crown molding, trim, new baseboard and a few doors that we wanted to be finished with a super smooth finish. The masking and preparation were done very well and it gave us peace of mind. Our cabinetry needed a more modern look so we elected to paint them versus replacing them. Sigura Pro Painting obviously had the experience needed as they quickly removed all the doors, drawers, hardware and they handled them with care. They were very responsive when it came to any questions we had and the manager helped us select the best color combinations based on our house decor and furniture. Communication was clear and upfront and scheduling was always confirmed. Overall we are very happy that we went with Sigura Pro Painting and we have already recommended them to some of our friends. Based on what we saw on the internet and their knowledgable explanation of the process, we knew that this company was very detailed oriented and had the experience to provide high-quality work on our interior painting project.
