    What’s the call to action? There’s no rehabilitation of the platform, in my mind. So: A) stop using FB, B) persuade friends and family to stop using FB, C) don’t let your business/org depend on FB for comms or marketing, D) build tools to get important data off FB.

    Fact: Bob got a dog. Positive spin: Bob loves all animals & is choosing to have a dog for now. Negative spin: Bob is selfishly leaving the cats of the world behind. Misinformation: Bob is anti-cat. Is his dog being mistreated? Lie: Bob is a cat killer. The dog never existed.

    New by me —> As tries to knock the journalism off its platform, its users are doing the same. A healthy chunk of Facebook users say they don’t get much news there any more — an outcome to be both expected and desired.

    Millennials and Gen Z make up a voting block that often feels unheard. Young people saved Democracy in Georgia and turned out in a global pandemic— they can do it again. and Mishara Davis will be at to teach us how to mobilize young people.

    Of course this is coming from the guy whose response to my child’s questions about why she had to brush her teeth AGAIN today was, “because we do it every day.” 😬

    Don’t respond to employee concerns by explaining that something is “industry standard.” It may be true & your intentions may be good, but if the industry is historically stacked against a person or population, learning that you’re “continuing the tradition” will be cold comfort.

    Was texting with a friend about whether he should get a Sodastream and I said "tell me if you end up joining the lifestyle" and it turns out that means something different than making your own carbonated beverages so then there was some clarifying to do.
