Our Core Mission

As your local partner in ministry, we provide a place for individuals to give gifts, memorials, honorariums, bequests, stock transfers, and donor advised funds to support your ministry. Individuals may also leave a lasting legacy by creating endowments or trusts. For churches and organizations, we provide a place to invest funds in our Short and Long Term accounts and to discover financial  and educational materials that affect congregation and organization members.

Equip

Providing the resources needed to grow

We provide brochures, videos, virtual and in person presentations, and other creative resources to grow your financial resources for ministry. Our creative marketing specialist can even help you craft materials for your specific congregation or ministry.

Educate

Educating the next generation of leaders

Faithful donors, who have created endowments with us provide scholarships for college, graduate, and seminary students awarded through the Scholarship Committee of the Foundation.

In partnership with the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry, we strengthen clergy financial literacy by providing seminars and materials related to personal and church finances.  We also offer select scholarships for clergy to attend church finance related events.

Invest

Building the church of tomorrow; today

Churches and related organizations may invest funds with us. The Short Term Fund provides an opportunity to earn a higher rate of interest than most savings accounts and cd’s of less than one year duration. The funds may be deposited or withdrawn at any time without any fees.  Our Long Term Fund is for churches and organizations, who have long range or permanent funds.  Together our Short and Long Term funds allow you to participate in investments of scale.

Equipping Churches with Resources

We create customized presentations or learning environments to meet your particular needs. Presentation topics may include creating a permanent endowment fund, planned giving, creative stewardship ideas, or personal financial management.

We also offer personalized brochures for you to use in your church or ministry setting.

Educating Future Leaders

Foundation scholarships are available to active participants of churches in the Mississippi Conference or Wesley Foundations. Students may be attending college, graduate school or seminary. Online applications open January 2 of each year and are due by April 1.  Award letters are provided to students in May, so that they may plan for the coming academic year.

I look forward to furthering my education at Millsaps College, and your kind gesture has helped to get me there. Thank you for all you do to help young disciples like myself to get quality education.” -Alexandra Raybourn

"This group was refreshing in so many ways. It was quite a joy to meet with other pastors and be able to discuss the scriptures but also other issues. It was good to hear things from another pastor’s perspective. The group really helped me in my spiritual life because I was able to relax in the scripture and feed off their energy. Felt good not to have to be “on” all the time. It also helped my ministry because I was able to learn from others, take notes and enjoy the word of God. We are considering meeting together at least once a month after the Easter holidays since it was such a great experience. "- Rev. Marilyn Moering-Watkins
