    How do I turn live captions & subtitles on during a Skype call?

    Live captions & subtitles in Skype let you read the words that are spoken during an audio or video call. Live captions & subtitles are not available in Skype on Android 4.0.4 - 5.1.

    To turn live captions & subtitles on in Skype:

    1. During an audio or video call, select the more more button button.
    2. Select Turn subtitles on.
    3. To view your subtitle history during a call, select the chevron chevron button above where your subtitles are shown and a side panel on desktop or call history panel on mobile will open displaying your subtitle history for that call.

    Note: The audio call data will be processed by Microsoft Speech Services to transcribe the spoken language.

    1. Select your profile picture.
    2. Select Settings button Settings.
    3. Select Calling button Calling.
    4. Select Call subtitles.
    5. Switch on Show subtitles for all calls. Switch Only Show subtitles for other participants on if you only want to see subtitles for other participants and not for yourself. Note: When subtitles are enabled, touch tone will not work.
    1. During an audio or video call, select the more more button button.
    2. Select Turn subtitles off.

    4. Select Call subtitles.
    5. Next to Subtitle language, select Spoken language and then choose your language from the list.
