Since 2001, Stephen Sanders is a designer who does planning and design for residential and commercial properties, which includes renovations, remodeling, build-outs and new construction, as well as drafting and rendering.
Recent Review:
We met with Steve for a consultation regarding our home addition. The first thing that impressed us about him was his knowledge of architecture and design. He was able to do some raw sketches for us with geometric calculations in that initial meeting. As we sat with him, his charisma and personality made it feel like we were discussing our home addition with an old friend. We were concerned about setbacks and how much space we actually had to build, and upon leaving us he immediately called the county to address this concern. He was always prompt and timely when we had concerns or questions. He would take the time to write detailed e-mails or call us when we could both speak to him, even if it was 6:30pm (dinner time!). We ended up not being able to work with him because we decided to take an alternate route, but we loved working with Steve so much that we only felt it right to acknowledge his hard work and effort on our project.

HomeTech Construction & DesignWe hired HomeTech Construction & Design to rebuild my grandmother’s old house . We started all process at the end of 2018 and just moved in to our brand new 3000 SF house a couple of weeks ago. We loved creativity of their architect and designer , their patience and professionalism, advices before the construction and throughout the all project . We appreciated the transparency of our project manager Moses and him, trying to manage our expectations, wishes and at the same time work with our budget. The planning, design process, shopping and choosing finished was the “fun part” after we finally decided on all the layouts / floorplans, then there was a little wait for engineer to work on his part of the plans and of course, for the city to approve the plans. Once the contraction started things were moving fairly quickly and the project was completed before projected completion time ( which did not look like it at the beginning ) The team was efficient and well-managed and has made the entire process very smooth. Throughout last couple of years there were ups and downs , nothing can be always perfect BUT after all, we live in this beautiful 5 bedrooms 3.5baths house and we are very thankful to HomeTech team for building us our dream home. Ross ServicesRoss Services was simply exceptional. From the start of interaction with Justin Schmidt, General Manager/Project Manager, the professionalism, timeliness, fairness in price, quality of the project and materials, to the overall outcome were simply top notch. I value quality, expectation setting, and timelines, and Justin delivered. Justin and his team accomplished a complete remodel in less than 10 business days, that included the removal of my fence and hurricane shutters, all new tile/marble, refinishing of the pool, installation of glass tile for the pool, all new pool equipment, installation of deck jets/fountains, putting back the fence and shutters, and even recommending a landscaper. I was thoroughly impressed with Ross Services and in particular Justin, he is my go to guy for anything we do in the future. Not to mention my pool area looks like a tropical spa retreat. EJD Construction Contractors & Investment Corp.Eric and his team were great and I would hire him for any other construction job again. From the first day Eric responded to our request for a quote, to the very end of the project he was responsive and easy to work with. At the outset, he took the time to have various conference calls with my husband and I to go over contractual items. He worked with us in every aspect. He was punctual and kept us updated of all inspection results. His team and subs would show up exactly when he told us they would. He pushed the project quickly, and we were able to complete it in only 5 months (during a pandemic!!). He was in constant communication with our architect, and engineers to get documents necessary without having to bother us to do it. At one point I really wanted to remove the tie-beam in an area of the addition, and he went above and beyond to call everyone necessary to see how we could do it. He also got us other subcontractors for second opinions in other aspects of our project. He goal was to make sure we were satisfied with the work. OPEN PERMIT SERVICESWe purchased a home in Pompano Beach in 2018. Since we paid cash we weren't aware that there were four old building permits that weren't closed. When we sold the property in October 2020 new buyers needed financing but could not get a loan on a home with open permits. Closing old building permits with the City of Pompano Beach is very complex and time consuming. Jack Wolf, owner, managed the entire process seamlessly for us--and was able to get old AC, plumbing, mechanical and roof permits handled in just several weeks. Communication was excellent. If you need permits closed Jack is a consummate professional in this regard. He knows how to navigate the City bureaucracy and also has a stable of vendors that can come and effect the repairs needed too. Hands down Jack is an expert in this field of endeavor. HomeTech Construction & DesignWe bought our first house something over a year ago and we knew it will need lots of work . The house was build in 1960s and never really remodeled. We hired HomeTech to completely remodel / reconfigure existing 2 bedroom 1 bath house , added square footage to the first floor and build new second floor . We started with remodeling of the existing house while working on the plans for the additions which definitely made the project to go smoother and finish faster. The fun part of the project was the design and showroom visits. HomeTech designer really understood our style & needs, had great suggestions & ideas and the project manager good points & recommendations to keep the project within our budget . The project was completed well within the estimated time Everyone from HomeTech team was straight forward and honest from the first meeting throughout all the project, always available to answer our questions via a call / text / email.
