My backyard hill was sliding by the ton. Over the course of three years, 200 yards of hill was displaced due to the poor drainage and extensive rainfall. Over the course of three years, over ten contractors visited me and provided solutions. NONE OF THEM followed through. On a whim and in desperation, I contacted Mullen Excavating Inc. Kevin Mullen, the owner of company, responded to my call almost immediately. Two days later, he stopped by to evaluate my dire situation. And his ideas were completely opposite of everyone else. Instead of a retaining wall, he advised me to repair the hill. After research, we chose the repair route. Then we patiently waited for five months for warmer and drier weather. Kevin never rushed me for the project. But when the project startedâ ¦ my gosh, it was a well-oiled machine, a BIG HONKING Caterpillar machine. Over the course of two weeks, Kevin and his team removed over 200 yards of fill and top soil, installed three gigantic underground french drains, repaired the water runoff pipes and then completely rebuilt/ regraded my hill, complete w/ grass seed and hatch. A true sight to behold. Throughout the whole process, Kevin remained a calming presence even when the work stopped for three days because of rain.
In the end, we got our hill back!! My sincere thanks to Kevin and his team. Kevin seems to be a natural when it comes to excavation work, if that it is a thing. In any case, I highly recommend Mullen Excavating Inc.

We could not be happier with the work done by Wyatt. He took time to listen to what we wanted for our project and explained the process and answered any questions we had along the way. Our project was turning a partially finished basement into a family room/office and a Pittsburgh potty into a half bath. His attention to detail was incredible. He did a great job matching the new walls with the existing walls swirl pattern and the baseboards look great. The bathroom turned out better than we could have imagined it. Wyatt also stayed within our budget, so there were no surprises at the end. We could not have been luckier in our search for a contractor and would highly recommend.

He got the job down within 30 minutes and cleaned job site afterwards. Raked area up and itâ s all ready for planting flowers.
honestly, I canâ t tell I even had trees there, stumps and roots are gone.
He even hauled it away.
