  My friend recommended Sullivan, so I had them do a furnace inspection and repair an installation problem from a handyman. Went great. So when the furnace started shutting off, I called Sullivan again. The guy said it was a fuse. He replaced the fuse, charged me $95 and left. Half an hour later, it failed again. He came back again, replaced the fuse again and told me it definitely wasn't the furnace and that I needed an electrician. My general contractor for some other work sent another furnace company over and they fixed it in five minutes (it was the furnace) and told me why it could not possibly have been a fuse or an electrical problem. So I called Sullivan back because they guarantee satisfaction and asked for my money back since it was not what they said and because they left me sitting here in 10 degree weather with no heat.   The anti scald was malfunctioning and we couldn't get hot water. Everything was excellent. Right on time to the minute, put covers on his shoes, friendly, he was done and gone in < 30 minutes. They were a bit high on the price, $150/ hour, but I know it's getting harder to find competent workers in the trades(plumbing, mechanics, carpenters, etc) so the wages go up and we all pay more so not a big deal. I will definitely call them next time and I recommend them

  Our water line from the street but before was leaking, and we were trying to get an emergency service appointment. Well, the leak was noticed the day before around 1700. The gentleman that came about an hour and half later was very pleasant but had to go to a home improvement store for the part. The township water dept rep came also to shut water off at the house. After an hour, the guy came back and said that he couldn't find the part and would have to return in the AM. He assured me that it would be him returning in the morning around 930. I have a family of 5 so it was a long night without water. The next day, the service dispatch called and said that the guy was delayed and would be there around 1100. The service dept called again and stated that the guy couldnt come at all and would have to find another. The second plumber came around 1230-1300. He also looked at the leak and said he would have to go to the store for part. I asked if the first guy told him exactly what the issue was and what part was needed, but he said that the first guy didn't give the details. This also caused more delays and frustration, and the issue wasnt completed until several hours later. Two positives for this company was the contact by the dispatch center to keep us updated throughout the process. The other was that the plumber was very personable and professional, and the work was flawless. Unfortunately, the price was high. The part was only about $20, so the rest was labor. The plumbers are contract employees with Rotor-Rooter, so there may be a high overhead that they need to work under. So the truck says Rotor-Rooter on the side, but it's that specific plumbers truck and equipment. They get mileage but pay they're own insurance and liability I believe. But in the end, the plumber did great work, worked well with the township water department, and was very pleasant. <br /
