Travis Buck, one of our founders, jokes that he’s been trying to get out of web design his entire life. The truth of the matter is, he eats and breathes the stuff. From shipping a smoked salmon across the country to secure one of the first Gmail accounts to having Comcast bust him for running a web server in his closet at 16, Travis knows more about domains, DNS, hosting configurations, MX records, IP addresses than most. He lives in the no man’s land between web design and Information Technology.
It doesn’t stop there, though. Travis has plugins listed on WordPress.org and is someone that votes on changes to the WordPress platform that will be included in new releases of the CMS. He’s in a private Facebook group with other premium plugin developers and one of the founders of WordPress. To summarize, if Travis doesn’t know the answer, he will find it; if it’s broken or hacked, he can fix it.

Whether it’s briefing her team on the newest project, working on a website’s content strategy, or working with a client to plan their next video, Abby Spyker – our other co-founder, thinks in stories. Her technically precise eye when it comes to anything visual may be attributed to her degree in digital media and professional photography or the tens of thousands of hours spent producing authentic websites, videos, and other forms of media.
Her approach? Communicate as you would with a friend or family member, be transparent, and first seek to fully understand the big picture. Let’s be real, NW Media Collective’s marketing and SEO services were quite standard until Kelsey Suski came along. Kelsey has been a core team member since mid-2018, and in late 2019 returned from 10 years living abroad to work full time out of NWMC’s downtown Vancouver, WA office.
While working in Vietnam, Kelsey’s content strategy and SEO game were so good she achieved open publishing rights and could publish content directly to Vietnam’s Yahoo Finance page.
