    This image perfectly depicts . Tests are starting to become available (commercial and LDTs) but we need CLIA-waived and moderate complexity tests to significant increase capacity. Today’s tests are highly complex and not accessible for all labs and clinics.

    This is highly insulting for all clinical laboratories working extremely hard to provide testing. We are experts in lab diagnostics and it is not a simple test performed in a drive thru.

    needs to fact check her answer. The COVID-19 test IS complex. Testing is NOT being performed at drive thrus. Specimens are being collected but are then transported to a laboratory where testing is performed.

    A day in which the US epidemic is rapidly accelerating. Now at ~3,000 cases but likely 10x more due to undertesting. There is clear evidence of community spread but not acting fast enough. If US wants to avoid the catastrophe of Italy we need to act now!
