Kim Kardashian Reflects on 20 Seasons of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, on Today’s Good Morning Vogue

Fourteen years and a few hundred episodes later, Keeping Up with the Kardashians will begin airing its final season on Thursday. The series that redefined reality television and made household names of Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kylie, Kendall, and Kris (as well as many of their partners, friends, and children) also chronicled one of pop culture’s more epic style evolutions. In a Vogue video last year, Kim recalled “living in Juicy Couture” and flip-flops in the early 2000s. Cut to today’s episode of Good Morning Vogue, and the mother, entrepreneur, and original influencer is seated at home in a stretch camel dress and sculptural necklace.

If she regrets a few looks from back in the day, and maybe some on-screen moments too, in conversation with Vogue contributor Jonathan Van Meter, Kim insists she is overwhelmingly grateful for the experience. “I look back and I think, oh my God—there are so many embarrassing things on TV for the world to see, but I’m so grateful for the evolution, because I’ve learned so much. I’m happy we were able to be on [air] for so long, and for people to see that. And to have all of those memories and home videos for almost 15 years… That’s amazing. I grew up with so many home videos, because that’s all my dad did. So it’s kind of a continuum of that.”

Kim also discusses her pandemic year, her booming Skims business (plus a few notable customers), and her criminal justice advocacy. Ahead of Thursday’s KUWTK premiere on E!, watch the full Good Morning Vogue episode for a preview of what to expect, here.
