I think this plug-in, and maybe TaxJar’s service itself assumes that within a ZipCode that all the rates are the same? At least it seems that way because I did a few test orders on my site to addresses within the same ZipCode that should be taxed at a different rate and was surprised to get the same rate for both addresses.

    Test address 1: Snohomish Library
311 Maple St, Snohomish, WA 98290

    Test address 2: Roosevelt Store
16412 Trombley Rd, Snohomish, WA 98290

From http://dor.wa.gov/content/findtaxesandrates/salesandusetaxrates/lookupataxrate/ you can look up these two address and see their rates are

    Test address 1: 9.2%
    Test address 2: 8.9%

Is this a bug or am I doing-something-wrong?

    Thank you!

    …Allen

    Hi Allen!
I am happy to help with this. I took a look and it seems like Washington’s site that you provided gives rates of 9.1% and 8.9% respectively for the addresses you provided.

I double checked them with our sales tax calculator and we seem to be returning the same rates as Washington expects (9.1% and 8.9).

Can you confirm that you are on our latest plugin, V 1.2.4? It’s possible that an older version of our plugin might not be sending in all the information we need for accurate rate calculation. If you are on the latest version of the plugin and are still seeing this issue, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] or call at 855-800-6681 ex. 2 and I’ll be happy to look in greater detail to see what’s going on.

    Cheers!
    Matt Campbell
