I have installed WordPress through my hosts control panel, but after the page comes up saying that he installation is complete it doesn’t go any further, it doesn’t then take me to the log in page to se up log in, instead it just downloads the blog index page.
Any page within wordpress that I try to access it just downloads the page instead of taking me to it to view it.

If you get a downloaded page instead of a login page, then there’s probably a hosting issue. Please contact your host.

As Steve has already mentioned, there’s probably something misconfigured with your web server.

If your web browser downloads your site’s files instead of displaying their content, that might be because PHP is not installed or not configured correctly.

    Thank you for your help

@wpe87sailw Try to install wordpress manually.
    The steps are:
    1. Download wordpress (Link: https://wordpress.org/download/)
    2. Extract and upload the files on the website parent folder from your ftp and refresh.
    3. Create a database and database user.
    4. Hit the website url and you will be redirected to installation menu.
    5. Follow the step and add the required detail.
This should solve the issue, unless there is any server configuration issue.
Do let me know, if you face any issue.
