Hannover Messe is one of the world’s most important industrial tradeshows and the largest capital goods exhibition. This year, it will host 5,500 exhibitors and 200,000 visitors, offering almost 1,500 events.
Hannover Messe is a hot spot for industrial transformation — with excellent innovations and unusual products. Among the top goals of the visitors are the search for innovative technologies and trends, the exchange of experience and information, networking and generating new business contacts.
Professional visitors see Hannover Messe as one of the most important windows to the future of industry. With its annual key topics, it is the place where exhibitors cross the boundaries of technology and industry, hitting the nerve of the times. The tradeshow brings the main industrial sectors together at one location — from drive engineering, automation, energy, R&D; and industrial IT to subcontracting. It reveals the latest trends, such as Industrie 4.0, energy efficiency, smart grids: all key technologies and core areas of industry can be found in Hannover.
The future is already here. Thanks to the ability of today’s IT systems to be connected, to interact with each other, to work and even to make decisions independently, they can help improve the quality of people’s lives, make businesses more efficient and just make the world a better and safer place.
But in order for them to do so, these futuristic systems need a whole new approach to cybersecurity. Kaspersky presents the company’s own operating system, KasperskyOS, enabling the development of Cyber Immune software. This revolutionary approach can provide IT products with innate security against the overwhelming majority of cyberattacks. Such products can be developed for systems with high security requirements. For example, KasperskyOS technologies help to protect IoT infrastructures on the level of secure gateways.
Malicious attacks on industrial systems – including industrial control systems (ICS) and supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA) – have increased significantly in recent years. As the Stuxnet and BlackEnergy attacks have shown, one infected USB drive or single spear-phishing email is all it takes for attackers to bridge the air gap and penetrate an isolated network. Traditional security is no longer enough to protect industrial environments from cyber threats.
To meet these challenges we offer Kaspersky Industrial Cybersecurity (KICS) - a specially designed portfolio of products and services to protect the Operational Technology infrastructure - without impacting on operational continuity and the consistency of industrial process. Our holistic approach brings value on any stage of the customer’s OT security process – from cybersecurity assessment to incident response.
Kaspersky Machine Learning for Anomaly Detection, better known under its abbreviated name – MLAD is an AI-powered anomaly detector for telemetry data. It is used with industrial machines and other complex equipment. Its task is to reveal early symptoms of a destructive process and raise an alert before the problem starts to affect the machine’s operation. The detector discovers equipment malfunction, misconfiguration or hacker attack that are likely to be overlooked by conventional monitoring systems and control room staff.
Aprotech is a young and highly ambitious Russian team founded by Kaspersky. It presents a Cyber Immune industrial gateway based on the Siemens Simatic IoT 2040 hardware platform and on the KasperskyOS operating system.
The industrial gateway allows to collect data directly from a specific piece of equipment. It is the fastest and safest way to send data to the Siemens MindSphere cloud, as the gateway is a multi-purpose tool for connecting, collecting and sending data from the connected equipment.
Quick launch of the digital services on MindSphere allows you to evaluate the efficiency of not only a single piece of equipment, but also of an entire technological line.
The Aprotech team will also demonstrate how the whole digital solution works at a large industrial factory.
