I edit academic and non-fiction works. My services include

• copy editing
• proofreading
• substantive (structural) editing
• checking statistics
• basic formatting and layout

What I don’t offer:

• graphic design and professional layout
• e-publication
• ghost-writing or full rewriting

My master’s degree was in research psychology and I used a quantitative research design with a mixed-methods section. Since graduating in 2006, I’ve continued to broaden my knowledge of statistics. These skills aid my editing work because I can identify and correct issues in technical and scientific papers that most language editors would miss.

I can edit for professional academic publication, which is arguably the most rigorous standard of editing possible. I also edit many theses every year and provide students with feedback and language assistance. My statistical literacy doesn’t extend to mathematics or actuarial science and I don’t tamper with equations.
