Compensation costs up 0.7% Mar 2021 to Jun 2021 and up 2.9% over the year ending Jun 2021

Compensation costs for civilian workers increased 0.7 percent, seasonally adjusted, from March 2021 to June 2021. Over the year, total compensation rose 2.9 percent, wages and salaries rose 3.2 percent, and benefit costs rose 2.2 percent.

Private industry compensation costs average $36.64 per hour worked in June 2021

Wage and salary costs for private industry workers averaged $25.89 per hour worked and benefit costs averaged $10.76 in June 2021. Health insurance benefit costs were $2.63 per hour, accounting for 7.2 percent of total compensation costs.
