    ProTip: A few small external battery packs can decrease the need to swap out batteries as often while you're . Cut down on the clutter by strapping them to your rig or (and a special shout out to 10 years with my ).

    This will reduce your anxiety about having enough card space while out on shoots, and you can just go through once a week to offload footage and format your cards.

    ProTip: Those plastic grocery bags can be lifesavers if you're out and it starts to rain unexpectedly (dog poop bags work great too). What are some other unexpected, but useful, items you've used in a pinch before? (Photo is from a trade show pre-COVID)

    When testimonials outside be sure the sun is behind the talent, it keeps them from squinting through the entire interview and provides a little back light which helps separate them from the background visually.

    Check out this awesome video for anyone wanting to increase the production value of their interview / talking head setups. Best part: you get to watch the guys; second best part: it's for budget friendly productions but the information is great for all exp. levels.

    These sort of milestones are pretty neat - this would be like teaching 3 classes 2 times a week for an entire school year for a couple decades.
