10 item checks out of 15 fails with timout. I asked the host to increase the timeout. They increased it to 900s as they say. Still all the failed checks stops after approx 120s. I’m los at the moment.

Most of the issues have been solved by increasing the memory (see http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/fix-wordpress-memory-exhausted-error-increase-php-memory/ ) However still I get Maximum execution time of 55 seconds exceeded error for 3/15 less crucial plugins. How to eliminate that (for a none expert user)?

Hi @titala,

You could try adding this file as a plugin then activating it:

https://gist.github.com/octalmage/94575437e6701618a866701d6864b61a

This will set the timeout to 890s, which should be plenty of time!
