Support » Fixing WordPress » I Can’t Change Theme and make new post on my WordPress

  • Good Morning experts in the house.

    Please my WordPress has problem.

I was trying to remove some JS codes on my WordPress to fasten up my website, I then installed Tweentysixteen theme, hoping it would ease up things.
Then I got this error message:

Warning: Use of undefined constant REQUEST_URI – assumed ‘REQUEST_URI’ (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /var/www/web33/web/wp-content/themes/slanted-master/functions.php on line 73

I later wet to fix it, but every since then, I can not post any article on my dashboard, I can’t even customize, I can’t do anything on my dashboard except navigation.

A friend later told me it was because I has too much of JS and I should update my wp, I checked it, and it is updates, I don’t even know what to do again.

    Please I need your help..

I think you have updated WordPress core files.
First take backup of WordPress, and then update WordPress.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks
