Description
There seems to be something wrong in lists.wordpress.org. I tried to unsubscribe from the wp-svn mailing list, and Apple Mail used the List-Unsubscribe
header and sent an unsubscribe
email to wp-svn-request@….
I got this in return:
This is the mail system at host smtp1.lax.automattic.com. I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below. For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster. If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message. If the -request
address is not supported, then the headers on the list emails are wrong:
List-Id: "Notification list for WordPress SVN commits." <wp-svn.lists.wordpress.org> List-Unsubscribe: <http://lists.wordpress.org/mailman/options/wp-svn>, <mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe> List-Archive: <http://lists.wordpress.org/pipermail/wp-svn/> List-Post: <mailto:[email protected]> List-Help: <mailto:[email protected]?subject=help> List-Subscribe: <http://lists.wordpress.org/mailman/listinfo/wp-svn>, <mailto:[email protected]?subject=subscribe>
Also, the -leave
and -unsubscribe
are shortcuts, but mailman's docs show its main email interface is -request

- Keywords pending-systems added
Filed a systems request: https://make.wordpress.org/systems/2020/04/09/lists-wordpress-org-unsubscription-email-not-configured/
In the meantime, please use the http://lists.wordpress.org/mailman/listinfo/wp-svn user interface to manage your subscriptions.
I don't think that this way is supported, see https://wiki.list.org/DOC/Mailman%202.1%20Members%20Manual#A5.2_How_do_I_leave_a_list.3F_.28unsubscribe.29.
