Support » Fixing WordPress » Error while logging in or out after installing free Cloudflare CDN on SiteGround

  • Ever since I installed the free Cloudflare CDN on SiteGround’s GrowBig plan, I get errors from the SiteGround Security plugin every time I log in/out.

    The error message:
Warning: gethostbyaddr(): Address is not a valid IPv4 or IPv6 address in /home/customer/www/thinkalink.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sg-security/core/Activity_Log/Activity_Log_Helper.php on line 39

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/customer/www/thinkalink.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/sg-security/core/Activity_Log/Activity_Log_Helper.php:39) in /home/customer/www/thinkalink.com/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1340

It still successfully logs me in/out, but I have to go back to the homepage manually.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Your sg-security seems to be the error.

Access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and rename or delete the directory of that plugin.

Next, report the issue at that plugin’s support forum.
