It feels like I've been working on this for ages, but it's "only" been a few months. My new website with 100% semantic HTML (no <span>s or <div>s). It was a pleasure to build but I'm also glad it's "done".

poll. You are in a small clearing in a forest. There is a button here. The button brings up a modal dialog. The dialog has an accessible name (its first heading) and contains a form. When the dialog opens, where does the focus go?

"We only want to hire self-starters who are absolutely passionate about wanting to work here and don't let obstacles stand in their way, so we tell everyone who applies that they've been screened out & wait to see who replies back to beg for another chance!" That what you mean?

One day I'll read about a recruiter stating "it's part of the test" after denying a candidate. And I won't even be surprised. Note: this is not meant to give anybody ideas.

Day 9 Making use of our day of rest to explore the mountainside we're on. Every mountain is an adventure when you're Dutch!

A view down a grassy field and some needleleaf forest with the city of Innsbruck behind and below.
A path goes through a clearing in a forest. It's all hillside. It looks like there has been a landslide at some point, creating the clearing.
A downhill road bordered by forest. There's a peak in the background with autumn-colored forest, and its top in the clouds.
Our cosy little cabin. It looks modern and angular. You're looking at a nearly square floor with one corner cut out to create a terrace, covered by the same roof. The building is wooden but with clean modern windows.

Day 8 Bit of a break! We head to Innsbruck because it's a logical pause between where we are (Interlaken-ish) and Ortisei/Dolomites. We enjoy the trip and stay at a sort of cabin in the woods. Perfect spot to recharge!

A gloomy looking lake with cloud cover and mountains in the back.

Day 7 Start again with a walk to the nearby train station passing creeks and cowbells on a sunny (!) day. The destination is First. Up by cable car towards a platform with a tremendous view. There are yellow/reddish fields again, and the mountains look amazing. Down we walk 💚

A creek curves through a valley. The water is clearly flowing but looks clean and rocks are scattered throughout.
A metal structure/platform sticks out a mountain side for several meters. A woman is at the end, looking out over a valley with villages and snow-covered mountains.
A view towards peaks covered with rock and field. The field is yellowish and brown, nice autumn colors. A path cuts through and small figures walk on it.
A wide look into a valley. Field in the front and forest behind that, gently sloping down. On the other side there's a rough rocky mountain side with snow covered peaks.

Day 6d Even the way down was a treat. The mountains were impressive, the fields nice red and yellow with autumn colors and the light beautiful at the end of a very exhausting day.

Reddish fields between mountain peaks. There's a manmade lake providing a stark contrast with the blue sky reflected in it.
A shot from the train showing a bit of that train, tracks but mostly fields and impressive towering snow-covered mountain peaks.
More of the same. Impressive snow-covered peaks above fields and a lake in the front.
A view at the valley. The clouds have turned into shades of grey and white with light peeking through. It creates lots of atmosphere

Day 6c Once at the top we emerged from a tunnel. We were in the snow. We went for a walk and my lungs were -burning- like never before. The bright blue skies and sunshine were a blessing.

A path wide like a road through snow covered fields going far into the view. There are some flags, seats and quite a few people on the path.
A single person walking the path in the snow covered fields. She looks tiny compared to the mountains that surround her.
The same person as last picture walking the last bit of path towards a mountain peak. There's a metallic box-like building built aginst it.
A snow covered landscape with blue skies and mountain peaks. There are some people in it but they look impressively tiny compared to the landscape.

Day 6b Once we reached the second stop, we were above the clouds. The trip to the last and final stop was lots of tunnel, with some vista's in between.

The same yellow and red train as in the last picture. Again, snow-covered mountains in the back. Now we see a curving train track going up.
A look back down. Yellow and brownish fields with a blue sky above a cloud-covered valley.
A dark cave-like place with 3 large windows looking at mountains and clouds. 4 silhouettes stand in front.
A dark tunnel opening in a mountain wall. There are metallic stairs, nets and all kinds of weird structures against it. The rock is yellowish and clear. There's snow in front.

Day 6a This day was an event. We went up the Jungfraujoch by train. 3454 meters high and thankfully, way above the clouds. We started in the gray and then surpassed it, watching down on the clouds. It's hard to communicate how majestic this day and trip was.

A clear blue sky and a deck of clouds to watch down on. The surrounding landscape is mountainous with snow on the highest peaks.
A towering snow-covered mountain on the right, and clouds on the left below. In between a flowing landscape with mostly grass and rocks, dotted with trees and a railway.
Two train tracks are in the front, setting the stage. A gate marks the location. Behind it a look down at a deck of clouds, and mountains ligning the horizon.
White peaked mountains and a clear blue sky. An old yellow and red train stands in front.

Day 5 The sun came up (thankfully) but there were still some clouds further down in the valley. We went up the mountain at Interlaken to enjoy the views of Harder Kulm 👀

Pretty much the same view from the cabin as they day before. The sun is peeking over the mountains, and further down the valley you look down at some clouds
A train track up the mountain with some trees and shrubs next to it, but everything is in a cloudy grey.
A sign shows mountain tops and names to indicate what's there to see. Except there's nothing to see but a white/grey mist.
A bit of forest again with white/grey mist.
