Global Brand Database

The Global Brand Database is your gateway to more than records from some national and international collections, and the first step in researching whether a mark similar or identical to yours already exists. Search the Global Brand Database before filing a trademark application, or to simply browse marks in markets that interest you.

Disclaimer – Although the Global Brand Database covers a number of large trademark collections, it may be prudent to also search the registers of national/regional intellectual property offices. You may also consult a trademark attorney.

More about the database

You can search trademarks, appellations of origin and armorial bearings, flags and other state emblems protected in various countries around the world, as well as the names, abbreviations and emblems of intergovernmental organizations.

The score does not have any direct meaning, other than a higher score for a record in a particular result set represents a higher confidence that that record is relevant to your current search terms. Higher is more relevant, but a score of 16 is not 4 times 'better' than a score of 4, necessarily. You can't compare scores between searches, either; the score only has meaning for the search set you're looking at now. The 'score' column only exists to allow you to sort your results based on score.

WIPO does not, in any way, store a copy of the image you submit. Once the analysis of the image is complete, all record of it is removed from our servers, and we retain no record of the image you search for.
