Why an eLearn Center?

The eLearn Center drives the evolution of our educational model through innovations in learning. UOC professor Sílvia Sivera was recently appointed as its director, taking over from Lluís Pastor.

For the 27 people who work at the eLearn Center – a team with specialists in teaching,
technology and pedagogy – the goal is to improve students’ learning experiences. They provide services to teaching staff, offering advice on analysing and redesigning courses or programmes, and keeping track of needs and ideas for the evolution of the UOC’s educational model. They also help conceptualize and implement teaching innovation projects, providing experimentation areas for pilot tests and exploring ways in which learning analytics can aid decision-making. In addition, they operate an observatory focusing on the latest global trends in online learning, and provide assistance for internal and external training on e-learning.
